Those who Ebay - I need some help

MoonMama wrote: I bought something off Ebay back in Feb the 11th to be exact. I was told it was sent off the 12th and I have emailed the seller many, many times and I have yet to hear back from him or receive my item. mad.gif mad.gif Aside from leaving him bad feedback, is there anything I can do, like report him to Paypal & Ebay? growl.gif growl.gif TIA.

gr33n3y3z replied: yes report them to ebay and paypal

Calimama replied: You can report them to Ebay and cancel the payment with Paypal! .. I think that's right. tongue.gif

punkeemunkee'smom replied: Ally email them one more time and tell them you are going to report them to Ebay and Paypal. Save your emails...If you still get no reply report them to paypal and ebay. You should be able to get your $$$ back if they can not prove they mailed you something sad.gif I am sorry you have a problem! I have had that happen once and it made me sick worring about the $$$! wacko.gif

MoonMama replied:
Thanks Abbie, I did send them an email the other day stating that if I didn't hear from them in 48 hours that I would be reporting them to Ebay and Paypal. I just reported them to Palpal and filed a thing to try and get my money back. Now given it was not a lot of money ($32.00) I am still so growl.gif growl.gif about the whole thing. growl.gif
Now I just have to figure out how I report them to ebay. huh.gif

Thanks everyone.

C&K*s Mommie replied: To report them to ebay you can go to your account (MyEbay) and there should be a dispute console link on the left hand side. From there you can state what happened (the facts). Ebay will send notification to the seller that a dispute has begun and it will give them xx amount of days to respond, there are negative effects to their account as the seller but it is in their best benefit to respond with facts too.

MoonMama replied: Ok got it, I reported them to both Paypal and Ebay. thumb.gif Thanks everyone.

Calimama replied:
thumb.gif I hope you get your money back!

C&K*s Mommie replied: When I made a dispute with ebay and Paypal it took hardly anytime for me to get my measly $20 back from Paypal, but surely the evidence on that seller was strong because he had racked up numerous negative feedbacks in the short time between us winning the bid and me sending a dispute report.

hopefulmomtobe replied: I Ebay. You can report them on Ebay...just log onto your Ebay account and there is a link on there somewhere that you can report people like that and they will discontinue their services for stuff like that. Also, contact Paypal to see if you can recoop that money.

hopefulmomtobe replied:
Duh...sorry....I didnt read all the way down the message board....I was just trying to respond to you quickly so you could take care of it. Glad you did what you needed to. I can't stand people who do that to others.

Crystalina replied: I had this problem and went to the Ebay forums and asked what I should do. The seller specified that the items would be shipped out within a week of payment. I paid. Never recieved anything! I emailed the seller over and over again. EVERDAY. I didn't know what to do so I stumbled across the forums and asked there. This is what I was told:

*Sellers usually do not contact a buyer after the merchandise is paid for.
*Even if they say that it will be shipped out by a certain time Ebay gives them a month to do so before taking action. The Seller putting in that it will be shipped by a certain time (less the the 30 max allowed) is only a curtosy to the buyers but they do not have to stand behind that set time. Most do though.

Eventually I got my merchandise. Like 2 days before the month was up. I never did get any responses from the seller at all! I left a feedback saying that the time was alot longer then they stated but the merchandise was in great condition.

jacobsmama replied: I had a problem like this and reported it to paypal and got my money back in a week. Good luck!

MoonMama replied: Thanks for all the help and information everyone. thumb.gif

MoonMama replied: Less then 24 hours later the guy has already issued me a FULL refund. greenapple.gif elephant.gif greenapple.gif elephant.gif greenapple.gif

punkeemunkee'smom replied: YEA!!!! I am happy for you! hug.gif I hate when stuff like that happens...I had it happen once on Amazon too and I was so upset and we are only talking $6-$7...I am really happy that it got worked out so quickly!!! hug.gif

Crystalina replied:
I know. No matter how little money it is you just feel like you've been scammed and you want your money back now.

MoonMama replied:
Exactly....And the fact that the guy after not emailing me back and such, refunded my money less then 24 hours later without question. Makes me think he really must have never actually sent off the item and thought he could get away with it. mad.gif

Brias3 replied: I believe you can report it to Paypal to investigate. They will in turn try to contact the seller nd if there is no response, I think they can deduct the funds from his account and put them back in yours for the reimbursement.

I'm new to Paypal so I'm not exactly positive if this is the way it works. Check into it though- I know you can report people there.

Edited: Whoops! Didn't read the whole thread. Glad you got your money back!

msoulz replied: smile.gif That is really great. I had no idea Paypal would do that.
