This time tomorrow....

I'm so anxious and excited and nervous!! I'm trying to get some last minute things done around the house - sweeping, mopping, that kind of thing. I know I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight, too. I doubt any of us will.

So, any last minute advice - particularly about breast feeding?? I'm super, super nervous about messing this up again.

I'll be calling Shawna when he arrives and we get settled into our room. And of course I'll post some pix as soon as I can when we get home.

I'm sure I'll need plenty of it trying to remember how to take care of a baby, too! It's been a while, ya know....

As far as BF goes, be patient, and take advantage of the resources your hospital has for you. Each baby takes to it differently, so you may be nervous over nothing, he may just latch and be a total BF champ for you!
And post pics ASAP! do you have a PC contact buddy for updates?

About the breastfeeding-do not worry! Babies are born with fat stores that allow them to wait for your milk to come in. Just relax. Ask if your hospital has a lactation consultant. Hold him how is most comfortable for you and clear the room if you have to in order to get comfortable! You will do great! I had the hardest time getting started with Tay in the hospital but then ended up BFing for 2 years!

As for the breastfeeding. Just do it. He'll know what to do and I'm sure there will be many a nurse to help you out. Take their help if you need it. I can't wait to meet him.

my2monkeyboys replied: Thanks ladies!!! I just got back from the pre-op registration stuff -- you know, giving blood samples, checking vitals, all that boring stuff.
I am bringing my BF book with me, and I found out the hospital does have a lactation consultant there around the clock, so hopefully things will go better than they did with Will.
Can't wait to get him home and get into our routine.
