This is why I don't buy presents early.
MommyToAshley wrote: I went to Walmart yesterday, and they had some new Vsmile cartridges out -- and they were on sale! So, I picked up two for Ashley that I had planned to give her for Christmas. She wasn't feeling well.... she seems to be ok except that she has some congestion and her voice is rough. Anyways, I felt bad that she was sick and wasn't going to be able to go to Mamaw's house (she's been looking forward to that), so I gave her the cartridges early. I am bad... that's why I buy my gifts on Christmas Eve. LOL!
amynicole21 replied: LOl! Well, we bought Sophia a bike and she already found it in the garage DH tried to make her think SHE was crazy for seeing a pink wheel under a blanket.
MommyToAshley replied:
I am not laughing about her finding the bike, sorry about that, but I can just imagine how that conversation went!
So, did you give it to her early?
luvmykids replied: Between me thinking it wouldn't hurt to give them a gift early, and their radar that leads them straight to anything hidden, we never make it more than a week
Hope she feels better
amynicole21 replied: Nope, we're hoping she forgets
moped replied: Oh I would do the same I am sure......hope she feels better.
Good sale on the cartridges?
MommyToAshley replied: Yup, they were only $9.99 (normally $19.99 +)
jcc64 replied: Corey caught me trying to put a "High School Musical" nightshirt into a box before she could see it. I caved, and gave it to her, not wanting to blow my cover. The boys used to be so clueless, but I think it's hard to pull a fast one on her.
Crystalina replied: I do the same thing!
That and the fact that I either will forget to give the gift and find it months later or (if it's for someone else) they will have already gotten it for themselves.
Calimama replied: Too funny. I hope she enjoys them and starts to feel better soon.
A&A'smommy replied: your so funny!! I hope Ashley feels better soon!!!
AlexsPajamaMama replied: omg this happened at my house yesterday! the little snoop knew I was out shopping all day with my mom...I get home, throw my stuff on my bed and close the door, leave him alone for a split second and he goes in my room and comes out thanking me for buying him the Woody toy! Its the one thing he has been asking for, he has nothing else on his wish list besides Woody from Toy Story! Well dh said it was not for him, mommy bought it for some one else since he already asked santa to get it.
MoonMama replied: Softy! Kidding Dee Dee, I hope she's feeling better.
coasterqueen replied: That's why you wrap them early like I did. Then I can't give them to them.
I hope Ashley is feeling better.
Boo&BugsMom replied: Ugh, that happened a couple years ago with Tanner. He found the Home Depot tool bench downstairs in it's box and wanted to know what it was for.
Deedee, I do the same things sometimes. I just can't contain myself when I am giving something to someone, especially at Christmas time. I want to give to everyone every day, esp. my kids.
Kaitlin'smom replied: I think thats the reason DH waites till the last possible second, and now Kaitlin is the same way she buys something and wants to give it to me the minutie she gets home.
hope she is feeling better
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Oh well, they're going to get it anyway, right?
My kids are clueless. We actually went to Target over the weekend and bought a lot of their gifts WITH them in the cart!!! I don't even think they noticed we bought them. I bought those shaker cars that rev their engine with just about any movement, so they were going off in the back of the car, but still, the boys didn't ask for them when we got home.
Feel better Ashley!
lisar replied: I have given them presents early before. I am just as bad.
