MomToJade&Jordan wrote: A guest came into the store today to return a booster seat. This was one of those Graco ones with the back that you use an actual seat belt for. It says right there on the display 30-100lbs. Well this guy bought it for an infant that weights about 23 lbs. ohmy.gif Anyway they told him he couldn't get his money back, because he didn't have a receipt, but he could exchange it for something else from the infant department. I kind of came into this after he tried to do the exchange, my boss was there and I was like well this is my department, let me show you what I have back there. He followed me back asking me all of these questions and I showed him the convertible carseats. I explained to him that the baby is just over 20lbs so he might want to set it up rear-facing. He was all like well I had this one all set up and I have the strap over her lap and she was all over the place. I was like because these carseats are not designed for infants. That's why there's a weight and height requirement on it. He was like, but this one is so cool I like this one. I was like sir you cannot put an infant in that booster. So I showed him the carseat I actually bought for Jordan about a month and a half ago. It's a Graco and I have it all set up rearfacing. I really like it and it's not too expensive. I also showed him a Costco one we have that my MIL had bought for Jade before we moved to Maryland. Both carseats are good carseats. He went well I need to go get my sister because it's her baby, I was like okay let me go see if I have this costco one in stock ( we didn't have any out). He walks away and I went to check. We didn't have the Costco one, but the Graco one would have cost him 30 dollars more. He comes back and is like well the baby's been sick for three days so I have to go I will deal with this another time and walks away mumbling I'll never shop in this store again. The baby did have an infant carrier still apparently so he wasn't going back to put the child in it, but come on. I don't think I was telling him what he wanted to here. I really think he wanted that booster seat to work. He knew that child was 23 lbs when he bought it. I was pretty mad guys. The Mom in me wanted so bad to tell him off. I just sat there and thought how horrible it would have been if he had gotten into an accident with that baby in an improper carseat. dry.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: dry.gif dry.gif dry.gif

you did the right thing by trying to educate him. hug.gif A car seat is better than nothing, that I so often see young kids doing- not riding in a car seat whatsoever. growl.gif

What a hassle. I'm sorry! I would have been ticked off too.

Jolyn replied: Do you think he might have just been just trying to get money back for a seat he didn't even really buy there? Maybe that was why he didn't have a receipt. Can anyone really be that dumb???? dry.gif

luvmykids replied: growl.gif It would be soooo hard to keep my mouth shut! I hope it really is his "sisters" baby and he just can't follow directions. Idiot.

mom2my2cuties replied: Sorry you had to deal with that. It breaks my heart when I see kids in vehicles up roaming around with no carseat. Too many unattentive drivers on the road today to let your kids to that. At least, even if he used that car seat, the baby would have some protection over none.

luvbug00 replied: growl.gif Ugg I know how irritaitng that is. with the coustomer being annoying and as a parent. At least you tried to get him on the right path. ps. Also sounds like a scam to me too, no recept and not happy with an exchange sounds shady to me. dry.gif

amynicole21 replied: Ugh, I couldn't have handled that. I get so livid about idiots and carseats growl.gif 23lbs in an infant carrier is too much too, isn't it?

BAC'sMom replied: wub.gif

gr33n3y3z replied: if he didnt know what to get why didnt he just ask for a store credit
I'm telling you lol

holley79 replied: That is horrible. I wonder if he stole them and was trying to return them for the money... dry.gif
