These BH are driving me INSANE!

coasterqueen wrote: If there was any question as to whether I was having BH or not, now there isn't any. wacko.gif I'm not having 4 to 6 and hour like the doc told me to watch out for but I'm having enough to drive me insane!!!!!!

Is there anything, anything at all to stop them? Am I not doing something? I just can't imagine having these for 12 more weeks. wacko.gif I guess I should be thankful I didn't really have them with Kylie or that I knew of. rolleyes.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Pepto Bismol stops them (as silly as that sounds) wink.gif I had them a lot with Ethan, but they weren't noticeable to me with Maddie. They drove me crazy, too. Especially in the end when they got really strong. I went in to my doctor twice thinking I was in labor. I was certain of it. rolleyes.gif That is when he suggested Pepto and it worked. thumb.gif

5littleladies replied: Mine usually stopped when I drank a glass of water and laid down for awhile. I'm guessing that hasn't worked for you since you've been on partial bedrest. tongue.gif I've never heard of the Pepto but heck-If Aimee says it works-I'd give it a try! smile.gif

Jamison'smama replied: Water--staying hydrated is supposed to help---seemed to help me and my doctor recommended it for BH as well.

momof2girls replied: I had them at the end with both girls, Dr never told me anything would stop them, sometimes they got so bad I thought I was going into labor!

MomToMany replied: sad.gif Sorry, those are never any fun. I had them a lot with all of my kids. I don't know what would stop them, except changing your position.

Kirstenmumof3 replied: grouphug.gif I had BH when I was pregnant with Claudia for 2 1/2 months. Sometimes I honestly thought I was going to go into labour. I don't know if there is anything that you can do to prevent them from happening. I guess just keep monitering them. grouphug.gif

coasterqueen replied: Thanks everyone, guess I just have to muddle through them. I could possibly not be drinking enough water so I will try that. I'd try the pepto but I know my doctor told me that was a no-no and I know it's a no-no when breastfeeding as well. I know this because I'm a pepto freak and I haven't gotten to have any since before I was pg with Kylie. happy.gif

catou_98 replied: what do they feel like for you karen?????? Once in a while I'm having cramps that I could describe as mesntrual cramps all over the belly( I'm 26 1/2 weeks) but my uterus doesn't get hard like I've read it should!!! anyways what do you think? are they like that for you too??? blink.gif

coasterqueen replied:
Well I've heard that your belly is supposed to get rock hard, but my doctor said that is not always the case and she said actually it's good that I'm not having that happen right now, lol. I described to her what I was having and she said they were definitely BH, though.

What it feels like for me is the cramping starts way down low and gradually moves up towards the top of my belly, like tightening. Some of them the past day or so has really really taken my breath away. blink.gif My belly gets hard but not ROCK hard.

Does that help?

jcc64 replied: I also remember the connection between bh and not staying hydrated enough. Drink up, woman! I also think they're more common in subsequent pg's, for some reason.

Maddie&EthansMom replied:
Hmmmm. I wonder why. unsure.gif I took it all throughout my pg and when I was bfing. huh.gif Oh well, If my doctor said it was okay I trust him. Nothing bad has happened yet. LOL! I'm still curious why, though. So, if you know would you post the info? Thanks. thumb.gif

I agree that water and staying hydrated will help. As well as changing your position.

catou_98 replied:
thank's for you reply karen! wink.gif mine do not feel like this so i don't know, I guess I'll have to ask my doctor like you did! thanks anyways! smile.gif
