The view from my window
cameragirl21 wrote: So...I haven't been around much because I just moved to a new home...I'll clue you all on the details later but suffice it to say that the force guided me right into a glass house in the sky. Just thought I'd share the view from my window...it inspired me tonight. The full moon over Miami....

Without the moon....
This highway takes you right to South Beach....

Here is the side view....

Care to guess how high up I am...? Oh yeah, I AM afraid of heights but a view like this can make me feel the fear and step out anyway....

moped replied:
Why did you move???
Oh and I work on the 20th floor of an office building but I think you are higher up than that, so I will guess 35?
luvmykids replied: Stunning! But where will your cats play?
cameragirl21 replied: Hehe, after living in a house for quite some time, I found myself drawn to a glass house in the sky, so that is where I moved. It's not forever but I had to experience it so off I went. I guess I needed new experiences and new inspirations and that view is pretty inspiring, lol, you should see it by day, which I will also photograph and share here...I just finished moving yesterday. Higher than the 35th floor...I swear, you can almost see the Eiffel Tower from here, lol.
cameragirl21 replied: My cats are both indoor, they are having a blast rummaging through all the boxes I have yet to dig through....
MoonMama replied: WOW that is gorgeous!!!! One of my best friends is in Miami, I'm dying to visit her esp after seeing those, it looks gorgeous there.
ETA: So how high?
CantWait replied: Wow that's WAY to high for me. We stayed in a hotel on the 22nd floor during our vacation and I couldn't even handle that. The view though is quite something. Enjoy your new home.
luvmykids replied: I thought they played in your garden sometimes. Have they noticed the view? Not exactly the same as perching in a window sill and watching birds
DH would FREAK, he can't even handle me walking halfway to a window like that, if I pressed my nose to it he would probably drop dead
boyohboyohboy replied: Jennifer! that is so neat and unimaginable for a country bumpkin like me!! thanks for sharing thats about as close to the city as I will ever get!
Mommy2Isabella replied: What a Gorgeous view! Is it a REAL glass house, like ALL GLASS. If so, how in the world do you shower? Without the whole world seeing your goods? haha that was my first thought!!
lisar replied: Thats pretty. I am guessing about 50th floor!!!
cameragirl21 replied: Thanks, everyone! Monica, I would occasionally take my cats outside for pictures but they only went out to be photographed. They are curious about the terrace but I'm uneasy about letting them out there because I am afraid they may try to jump up on the railing, God forbid, and since I'm rather afraid of heights myself, I am too shaky to just chase them around up there so they're not allowed out except in my arms. I think they do know how high up they are so they are curious but cautious. The lighting in there is so amazing that I am just going to stick to photographing them inside from here on out, or at least for as long as I live here. Jessica, the walls to the ouside are all glass but the inside walls are not. I'm way too high up for anyone to see my goodies unless they are watching with binoculars, which I suppose is a possibility. As for how high, no one got it yet, keep guessing....
CantWait replied: 45
moped replied: 42 is my final answer
My2Beauties replied: 45 floors?
That's a beautiful view. I worked on the 26th floor of a building before and I love high views like that.
cameragirl21 replied: so far Moped is the closest....
moped replied: Well I just looked out my office window and compared and I really think I must be close.....in your pic the big building in the pic msut be about 50ish floors and you are a wee bit below that......ok, so it wasn't 35 or 42 so i will say 40
cameragirl21 replied: hehe, you're going in the wrong direction.
moped replied: Ok 43 or 44.....that has to be it because Marie said 45
cameragirl21 replied: yep, you guessed it--43rd floor. I'll take some pics of the sunrise and sunset to share in the next few days...you can see the sun rise right out my window but for the sunset, I have to around to the back of the building. The view at night is amazing but the view during the day is even more so. It's crazy because I am so afraid of heights but the view really does make it worth that shaky knee feeling I get when I force myself to look down.

DVFlyer replied: Wow... going from a house to the 45th floor.
You're really moving "up" in the world.
A&A'smommy replied: gorgeous!!!! but OMG I would be scared!!!!
momofone replied: Reminds me of Brooke Hogan she lives in one of those high rises in Miami i think.
msoulz replied: Jennifer, you are a brave woman!! Even with the beautiful view, oh my, I couldn't do it.
I worked on the 23rd floor of a 25 story building and on windy days I could feel the building sway just a little - oh my, it was disturbing.
But it was fun looking out at the crazy drivers below - from a safe distance away from the window of course!!
HuskerMom replied: Neat pictures! I'd be really nervous to live that high, I don't think I'd want to be above 3 stories.
lovemy2 replied: Ahh 45 floors up near the ocean - beautiful - wait until a really windy day when the WHOLE building starts to sway
Beautiful view though - love it!!
Crystalina replied: Breathtaking images Jennifer!
I was on the 8th floor of the FountaineBleu and then moved to the 20th. I'm so scared of heights!!! I think I just stood in the same spot for about 20 minutes just getting up the nerve to walk across the room. I also kept the curtains drawn the entire time and couldn't sleep for fear of a fire. I kept thinking...there is no fire escape on this thing! I hate being up that high but looking at your photos the view is stunning.
