Waylon -- it's a boy!!!!!!!!


Will is so excited! We're all very happy and excited, and can't wait to meet him.
It was so awesome, we got him yawning a huge yawn on video - it actually kind of made my husband choke up a little. It was SO adorable! I'm glad my dad got to be there - he'd never seen a sono before, so it was so awesome to him.
It was hard to find Waylon's little privates at first bc he was all balled up, apparently still sleeping! But we finally got a little peek at the area, and there he was, all at attention. It was funny, his little bladder was so full. Will said, that happens to me in the morning sometimes, too, momma! LOL The sono nurse just laughed.
He measured exactly 19w, 5 d, which is what I am, and she said he weighs about 11oz. His heart rate was 143 and everything looked great, and I've gained 4 lbs since last month's visit, which the dr was very happy about. I'm still down 12 lbs, but I told him give me another month or so and I'm sure I'll get it all back!
Once Waylon woke up he started moving quite a bit. Right now he is breech, sideways, technically, but it doesn't matter to me if he moves or not since I'll prob have another c-section anyway.
Anyway, just wanted to let you all know! I'll let you know, too, when we give the poor kid a middle name!

my2monkeyboys replied: Oh, here's a full-body shot I said I'd post a week or so ago. This was taken this morning, and it's not a very good pic, but it is what it is.
Ignore all the mess in the background - it was taken in our computer/game/bowflex/junk room, that hopefully will become Will's new room sometime this fall.
Anyway, I'm right at 5 mths - will be in 2 days.



Thanks for the congrats. I think my mom is a little disappointed, though she's trying not to show it.
It's funny, out of about 18-19 ladies I know that are expecting within just a month or so of each other, I'm only the 3rd one with a boy. Of course, there are 4-5 that still don't know what they are having, but even the sono. nurse said she's been seeing girl after girl the last few weeks. I was actually the first boy she saw in the last 3 days.
Nice to know Waylon will have plenty of girlies to meet when he gets older!

I'm so jealous that I'm farther along then you and still don't know what I'm having. My doctor makes me wait FOREVER! This month though. I can't wait.

I feel rather yucky this pregnancy to be honest. My face stays broken out, my hair is just lifeless... just no where near as nice as when I was preggo with Will.
If it makes you feel any better my dr. wanted me to wait until my 24th week, too. I said, oh no, surely you're not going to make me wait that long! I know you can see what's there before then! So he gave in and let me do it at my 20wk appt. Just badger him - he'll give in eventually!
Really, though, a few more weeks isn't a big deal. If you don't think about it it'll go by quick.
