The reason the house burned

TANNER'S MOM wrote: She was making supper..and suddenly missed her 2 year old. Went to the bathroom to get her...came into the kitchen and it was fully engulfed and spreading to the living room..

They think it was a grease fire..just a few sparks hit that old trailer house and spread like wild fire...

She said in just the time it took her to wipe a bottom her house was gone.

I know alot of people don't live in trailers but here in the south they are everywhere..

They are also known for being really bad about fires and burning fast!

The red cross put them in a motel for a week to figure out what was going on.. My boss gave her a bed for her and one full for the kids... stuff is already slowing coming in..

Thanks guys for thinking of her..

mckayleesmom replied: Oh..that just sucks...I wish I was closer...I could try to help her. I wish you had freecycle in your area.

MommyToAshley replied: I missed your post earlier... how sad for your friend. Fire just plain scares me because it can happen so fast.

I am glad that your friend has a place to stay for at least a week while she works things out. Her family is in my thoughts and prayers.

mommy_loves_chase replied: you can let her know that i asked my sister about the clothes im just waiting for her to get back to me i sent her a Private message about it but im not sure if she got it

amynicole21 replied: God, that's so sad. I'm glad she's getting some help though. Ugh sad.gif bawling.gif

Boys r us replied: Goodnes Mel, that's so sad! How old are her kids?

Kaitlin'smom replied: yep sadly trailors are what they call fire traps because they spread sooo fast in them. I feel for your friend and glad she is already getting help and things she needs.

TANNER'S MOM replied:
Austin is 8
Tyler is 6
Cameron is 5 (going to Kindergarten this year)
Kaitlyn is 2

lol She has her hands full!

stanleygirl replied: That is so sad, will make me think twice before I turn away from the stove.
I hope everything works out ok, I wish there was something I could do to help...

kimberley replied: sad.gif that is so sad. if there is anything we can do to help, let us know. maybe we can start a collection or something?

3xsthefun replied: That is so awful. Yes, I know all to well about trailer fires, we have had alot of them around here. We was one of the lucky people, and I'm not sure why, but ours didn't burn to the ground, it pretty much stayed inside the trailer.

I'm still looking to see what I can do about finding clothes for her little girl. I know someone else might have some, I just have to ask them if they still using them.

My2Beauties replied: You said her little girl is 2 - what size is she? Hanna is about as big as most 2.5 year olds, if she is in a 2t or even a 3t I may have some of Hanna's old clothes she can have, a lot of it is winter stuff though, it's getting close to the winter months - do you think that would help?

A&A'smommy replied: awww that is awful!!! People are so giving and wonderful during time of need I hope things keep piling up for her and her kids!!
