The nerve of him!! - vent at dh
5littleladies wrote: I am getting really, super nervous about labor. I mean-REALLY NERVOUS!! My labor with Brianna was terrible, I completely lost control at the end because I was in so much pain and most of it is a blurr because of that. Yesterday I was talking to Jas about it-hoping that as my sweet, loving husband he would try and ease my fears, and what he said was, "Oh good grief. You've been through this 3 times already. And besides, it's going to go super fast so it will be fine". What a moron!!! WTH does he know about it? Can't he just say "It'll be ok honey and I'll be there with you so try to not worry" or something supportive like that? I wanted to smack him.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: You should have smacked him!! He wasn't being very considerate. It's really too bad you can't some how connect them to you while you're in labor so they can feel it too. I'm sorry he said it that way!
Sarah&Mackenzie replied: How insensitive!!!!!
amynicole21 replied: OMG, DH would have been suffering a broken limb if he said that to me! I'm sorry.
luvbug00 replied: Oh has he ever had a gull stone? it's not easy to get a watermelon threw a rubber band!
A&A'smommy replied: OMG sometimes men just don't have a clue!!!! It will be okay sweetie!!!
moxee24 replied: Thats terrible!!! I would have told him "Here let me kick you between the legs...you've been throught it before and it will be super fast, so it will be fine!" I'm sure you will be fine!
kimberley replied: men really need to experience childbirth just once ! sorry he was so insensitive.
CantWait replied: Is this duh dh board today. Super insensitive indeed. Things will be fine, just think, soon you'll have another little bundle of joy.
amymom replied: That is a great way to put it.
5littleladies replied: ROFL!!!! That is exactly what I'm going to say if it happens again!! Thanks for the laugh!
3xsthefun replied: Sorry he was being insensitive
DansMom replied: And you'll get your chance... I'm thinking during transition, he deserves a good smack.
Are you going to do a natural labor without meds?
5littleladies replied: Lol-good thinking!
As for the meds, I kind of go back and forth from day to day. Some days I swear I won't have another child without an epidural and some days I think if I could manage to go without my water breaking I might be able to go without an epidural. My labor with dd #2 was absolutely wonderful and the only labor I've had with my water intact so I think I could possibly do it if that was the case. I always have nubain but with Bri it just didn't help too much once I hit a certain point. I don't know what I'll do.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: OMG!! I'm with you...seriously WTH does he know about it??? I hope you smacked some sense into him! It will go fine, Jen. Try not to worry about it. I'm thinking about you.
mummy2girls replied: OMG! Geepers! why do men have to say stuff like that?
god tell him you'll kick him between the legs like 30 times... and right as soon as he recovers from one blow hit him with another and then tell him you will be ok! GRRRR
MommyToAshley replied: LOL!
I am sorry he was so inconsiderate!
coasterqueen replied: They just don't get it sometimes! Grrrr.
