The littlest things excite me these days..

coasterqueen wrote: My new ROOMBA arrived Saturday and he charged for 16 hours and I sent him to do his job when I left for work this morning! banana2.gifbanana2.gif

So I will have a vacumed livingroom tonight when I get home. YAHOOOOOO!!!!! I so missed him. happy.gif Back to having cleaned floors 24/7 (well cleaner tongue.gif ).

mckayleesmom replied: I need one of those rolling_smile.gif

coasterqueen replied:
They are so worth it, keeping up the daily crumbs and little pieces of crud that get on the floor, ya know. As long as I run that thing every day and do real vacuming once a week I can actually walk on my floors barefoot and not feel dirt on my feet, ya know.

mckayleesmom replied: Do you have carpet or hardwood floors? I hate having hardwood floors for this reason....Does it work on hardwood floors?

redchief replied: I stepped on a Roomba at a customer's house once. I don't know if it survived or not. LOL

Boys r us replied: yeah, same question here, I've got 90% tile and hardwood..does it work well on surfaces besides carpet?

coasterqueen replied: Works great on our tile. thumb.gif I think Roomba works 100% better at getting up animal hair than our vacume ever did and we had a very nice expensive one to do that job. tongue.gif

Now Scooba, who will be the newest member to our family hopefully for Christmas, I believe she does not clean hardwood floors. She will tile, but not hardwood floors. She's a robot mop.

Redchief, not nice stepping on a roomba. tongue.gif

kit_kats_mom replied: Is it one of the programabale ones Karen? I have one of the original models & we are going to upgrade this year to the one that you can schedule.

To answer the questions about hard floors, yes. I let her loose on my kitchen floor every night after dinner to pick up all of the food that the kids drop then I use the swiffer if there were spills. She picks up dropped food, cat litter, hair, and other stuff.

coasterqueen replied:
It's a discovery model Cary. He's not a scheduler, I think we have the model right before that. But I turn it on before I leave and he'll clean the areas I've set for him. We didn't go with the scheduler because we set it to vacume before we leave for work or when we got to bed so no reason to have it scheduled, kwim?

I don't know what the different between yours and mine would be. dunno.gif

mckayleesmom replied: does it come in purple?...lol...jk

TANNER'S MOM replied: Now he sounds like my kinda guy. I am so jealous!

holley79 replied: I need one of those!!!!! I keep dropping lil hints to DH. I hope that he figures it out soon. I love that it picks up animal hair so well. rolleyes.gif

coasterqueen replied:
red, pink, white, blue I know that for sure, lol. Don't think there is a purple one, lol. We just have a white model. He's pretty cute. tongue.gif emlaugh.gif
