The Tenth Circle

mckayleesmom replied: I taped it and will read it tonight. I am a huge Jodi Picoult fan....I love her books. She has another movie coming out in theatres...MY SISTER'S KEEPER...starring Cameran Diaz.
Our Lil' Family replied: OH really? Good to know, I need to finish it then. For some reason I cannot finish that book...guess it's just not suspenseful enough for me, I've been reading it for about 6 months.
mckayleesmom replied: Are you reading My Sister's Keeper? I haven't read The Tenth Circle yet. I finished another one of hers a while back...kind of a Columbine type story..forgot the title. It was really good though.
luvmykids replied: She is one of my favorite authors too, but I haven't read the book yet so I didn't watch the movie. I loved My Sisters Keeper.
Our Lil' Family replied: Yes, trying to read My Sisters Keeper....I really don't know why I can't finish it, people rave about it.
HuskerMom replied: What is The Tenth Circle about? I've never heard of it.
mckayleesmom replied: Are you sure you have Jodi Picoult's book? There is another My Sisters Keeper by another author, but Im not sure what his name is or what its about. I just happen to see it a couple weeks ago.
I couldn't put that book down when I had it...Vanishing Acts is another good one.
Also, another good writer is Jennifer Wiener
Our Lil' Family replied: Yep, I'm sure. It's about the little girl who is sick and the sister was born basically to save her life? That's the one.
cameragirl21 replied: It's a book by Jodi Picoult which was recently made into a Lifetime movie. I found it really interesting and somewhat perplexing...It has to do with parenting and growing up which is largely why I posted about it here. The tenth circle is a reference to hell, as in the nine circles of hell in Dante's "Inferno" from the Divine Comedy. I personally think that Jodi Picoult's rendition of it is absolutely brilliant, at least from the movie, I bet the book is even better, they usually are. I have to say though, imo, the acting in it was superb, especially from the girl, who is an unknown actor (at least to me, her name is Britt Robertson) and from Kelly Preston, who plays her mother.
mckayleesmom replied: Yep..that is it...huh. I loved that book. Just keep in mind...Jodi is always going somewhere even when it seems like she is dragging. There is always a twist at the end of her books.
Our Lil' Family replied: I'll try to finish it soon.
youngmomofone replied: I loved the movie so now I want to read her books.
Our Lil' Family replied: Just finished My Sisters Keeper....I have to say I did like it a lot. I think it just drug on too long. But now that I know her writing style I'll probably read another one of her books.
