That settles it - I really am crazy!!

Maddie&EthansMom wrote: I went and got the fabric to make the kids costumes for Halloween. Maddie is going to be Dorothy and Ethan is going to be a lion. Maddie's costume looks fairly easy to make, BUT Ethan's is going to be quite the challenge. Don't get me wrong, I love sewing and I love a good challenge, but I'm not used to sewing clothing and no telling what this 'lion' is going to look like!! unsure.gif I guess if it fails I will go to Kohls. They had the cutest skunk costume. Why do I always have to do things the hard way??? blush.gif

Here I go!! Wish me luck! emlaugh.gif

DansMom replied: I'm lucky---Daniel has an older cousin, and they kept all of his costumes. We have the cutest ready-made lion costume. But there is something special about a mom who makes the costume for you---it's creative and it makes you feel special. My mom did this for us---I'm sure your little lion will be absolutely adorable!!

MomToMany replied: Awww, I bet they will turn out great! They would look SO very cute together! Your children are so beautiful wub.gif .

Good luck Aimee!

Kaitlin'smom replied: awwww I but they will be great, dont for get the pics!

chloe&tysmommy replied:

3_call_me_mama replied:
good luck to you... i was going to do things the hard way btu ended up going to KMART becasue my poor kids would have ended up without costumes becasue i undertake many thing and rarely have time to finish them.

jdkjd replied: That IS crazy. I'm basically as uncrafty as you can get.

BUT crazier is that I got Bailey a "Dorothy" costume and Kiera a Lion costume a couple weeks ago. tongue.gif We'll both have to post pictures!! smile.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied:

THAT IS CRAZY!!! I bet they will be so cute!! rolling_smile.gif

I actually had to talk Maddie into being Dorothy. She wanted to be Cinderella, but they were out of the pattern. tongue.gif Maddie actually owns a pair of red glitter shoes, but they are way too small. I wonder where I can find some?? unsure.gif

I can't wait to see pictures of your Dorothy and [cowardly] lion. thumb.gif

Boys r us replied: Aimee, I've seen "ruby slippers" at Target in the kids shoe section!

redchief replied: What I can't do with a bedsheet and safety pins!!!

Wow... you guys make things that people can actually wear? Heheheh

I can sew a button back on, fix a blown seam... but that's about the extent of my sewing wizardry. You're not crazy... you're awesome for even trying!

jdkjd replied: We found the glitter shoes at Target. Do you have a Target close?

momof2girls replied: Im jealous I wish I could make things!!!! I cant !

Maddie&EthansMom replied:
