Tax free weekend
Maddie&EthansMom wrote: Friday, Saturday and Sunday are tax free days in Texas. I've never gone shopping on these days, but I need a couple of things from the uniform shop and I guess I will brave the crowds tomorrow morning to get my last few things. School supplies and school clothes are tax free.
Anyone else have tax free days?
moped replied: I have never heared of that - what is the tax there?
TANNER'S MOM replied: I heard the same in Mo.. for back to school items..
kayla's mama replied: I know that Missouri is having it also. I don't think Mississippi is though
boobies4virtue replied: wow. they tax us everyday, here.
JessC replied: tax FREE everyday here! - Oregon.
luvbug00 replied: What?? tax free? Oh I wish they'd have that here!! I'd be getting my lunch packed so I could go all day!
A&A'smommy replied: Too many taxes here and they are trying to go up on the taxes again!! They tax us everyday!
mommy_loves_chase replied: Michigan Sucks thats all im gonna say lol
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Ooops! School supplies are taxed this weekend. Clothing (under $100 is exempt). Only shoes and clothes. No accessories. The tax is 8.25% here. So, you have to spend $100 to save $8. Nevertheless, there are LOTS of sales this weekend.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Oh yeah that's right! I have friends in Oregon.
Kaitlin'smom replied: nope as far as I know we are taxed everyday
Hillbilly Housewife replied: only 8.25 percent?
We have one at 7% plus one at 8%...
so something 100$ is really 115$....
although not in alberta.... and we never pay tax on food items other than prepared meals at the grocery stores
jacobsmama replied: I want tax free I can't complain though compared to you guys we have 6% and non on grocery or food items so that is better than 8 geez!!
