Tara - Your bedroom color
luvmykids wrote: In your secret santa wishlist you said your bedroom color is antique lavendar....did you redo that beautiful paint job you did with the stripes?
grapfruit replied: I think we need a picture
lisar replied: I agree,
Our Lil' Family replied: I think she meant her comforter....here's the thread with the pics http://forums.parentingclub.com/index.php?...=58400&hl=paint
PrairieMom replied: no, but the accent color of my bedspread is that color. I don't really consider it tan because it is so neutral. That took me so long to do, I'm not going to redo it for a while.
luvmykids replied: Whew, I couldn't imagine all that work painted over I was picturing the wrong comforter too.
PrairieMom replied: me either. Its staying that way for a while. My next project is my kitchen / living room. But I really want to put wood floors in first.
Kaitlin'smom replied: Personally I would do the walls before you put new floors in.
beautiful bedroom
PrairieMom replied: Yeah, I agree, I mean that I just want to do it all at once, not repaint now, then again next year when I get the floors. I just want a whole make over. It's never gonna happen tho, so I may as well just paint.
Kaitlin'smom replied: ahh I see, I woudl love one as well.....more like a new house but I dunno when thats going to happen
stella6979 replied: I LOVE your room! And we have the same duvet set only ours is maroon. We got it off ebay for $60.00. Don't you just love the way it feels?
grapfruit replied: oOo! My bf did that w/her daughters room (in a mauve) it looks awesome too. She used a laser level instead of a chalk line though.
Now they're talking of moving both girls into one room (the one her son is in now, and move him into the room w/the cool paint. But Tiff is bucking it b/c she doesn't want to repaint it And her 5 year old boy can NOT have a pink room
PrairieMom replied: yeah, chalk is def. NOT the way to go. We had a huge mess. I love the way it turned out. I don't know what I am going to do in the living room yet. I can't just do plain, it HAS to be something complicated.
luvmykids replied: I've been trying to get myself to do a plain paint job in the living room for a year now and can't get it done...heaven help us if I wanted something complicated
PrairieMom replied: I think I want to do a bold color on an accent wall and using the same hi gloss on egg shell idea do diamonds or some swirly pattern. maybe with gold leafing or something. I am basically just waiting for inspiration to strike.
