Tanner got throwed off his horse last night!

TANNER'S MOM wrote: And boy did he learn a valuable lesson!

Tanner was riding at a rodeo in the Grand Entry..and a friend..who is just barely Friend of a friend..asked if he would ride her little girl thru the grand entry. They put her on back and I never paid any attention at all.. Tanner has had his horse since he was 18 months old. That horse has never bucked..never reared nothing.

Earlier that day..me and my Dad had gotten on to him..for putting his feet to far in his stir ups. You can get hung up when you do that. And his comment was..well it ain't like she is gonna buck anyway!

So,

Tanner is riding thru the grand entry with a kid on the back. I never looked which made me a bad Mom..but this little girl they put in the back was wearing spurs. And she spent the whole time kicking Crystal in the flanks.

She got tired of it and she threw them. They were okay..but Tanner and Mom learned a good lesson you never know a horse completely!

Thank God he is a cowboy and got back on her..kicked on out and showed her who is boss!

My horse was hurt bad this weekend..and I am very sad. He isn't going to ridable for a few days..maybe a month. So, I am stuck on DH's horse..and I am not sure which is the bigger horses butt!

Kaitlin'smom replied: glad he is okay. I hope he learned his lesson. I still have not gotten back on a horse since I fell off in November sad.gif I also want to see about lessons for Kait, he new horse is ready to be ridden and apparently LOVES kids.

MyLuvBugs replied: Oh wow Mel! ohmy.gif That's so scary. They could have been really hurt. sad.gif Thank goodness all are ok. HOpefully he'll learn his lesson this time.

Sorry about your horse too! What happened?

redchief replied:

No way you're a bad mom, Mel!!! It's hard to let your kids grow up. It's even harder when as he's doing so he likes something many would consider dangerous. You always make sure he has good equipment, give him advice and care more about him than whatever event he's in. That makes you a GOOD MOM.

Sorry to hear about your horse. I hope his recovery is swift.

Our Lil' Family replied: Wow, how scary, glad he didn't get hurt. Sounds like he's a true cowboy, tough guy!!

luvmykids replied:
You're not a bad mom, when you trust your kid and his horse. Just a reminder to be aware of other kids who don't know better or do but do stupid stuff anyway! Glad they're ok!

gr33n3y3z replied: Your a good mom Mel
Kids dont always listen then they have to learn on their own

Sorry about your horse

moped replied: Oh Mel....I am so sorry....hope Tan Man is doing ok!

Boys r us replied: Oh Mel...that makes me so sad...poor horse & poor Tanner!!!

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Who the heck puts spurs on a little kid? What possible purpose would they serve? I wouldn't have thought to look either, Mel. You aren't a bad mom. A bad mom wouldn't have let him get back on the horse.

mammag replied: Glad he is okay and was right back at it! That would have scared me!

Ashlynn's Mommy replied: I'm so glad that he is okay. hug.gif hug.gif

holley79 replied: I learned that lesson very early on abotu feet to far into stirrups. Teach me to listen to my grand daddy a little better. Glad he wasn't hurt.

TheOaf66 replied: ah yes, it is a fun time getting thrown off a horse unsure.gif not. Sorry to hear about your horse, I used to have one of my own that they made me get rid of. She became to unpredictable around everyone but me, she bucked a couple people, kicked one (who deserved it anyways), but she never acted up around me, she loved me biggrin.gif so I hope your horse comes back in full health thumb.gif

BAC'sMom replied: I'm so glad that he is okay.
