Talking in his sleep?
alice&arik wrote: For about 2 months now I have noticed Arik will talk or shout out a word while he is sleeping. It is usually "kitty-cat" or "Shrek". Sometimes he will say a whole sentence and then I think he is awake, but when I go and look at him he is snoring away. I don't know if this is normal or not. I know I used to talk in my sleep, (still do occasionally if someone is around to hear it)I even walked in my sleep. One time I tried to pick up a TV and carry it. I said I was taking it with me. And my dad told me to put it back and go to sleep. I have done some weird things in my sleep. So I don't know if it is just something he got from me or what. Maybe he has a bad sleep pattern?
catou_98 replied: I'm sure there's nothing wrong with his sleep! my SO still talks in is sleep most of the time annoying if you ask me!!!!! but if you're really concern you can always ask your doctor for advice! hope that help!
kit_kats_mom replied: I'm a sleep talker/sleep walker and have been since I was young. I freaked my DH out once and he talked me into talking to a dr. I was put on a pulse-ox monitor for a week to make sure that they weren't apnea induced problems then I was prescribed Wellbutrin. I've not had an episode that I know of since...I still drool heavily though...wish they'd make a pill for that. Ewwww!
loveydad replied: Aww. My son's talk to each other in their sleep. I'll hear them on the baby monitor "No uh!" ..or it'll be totally silence and Vince will say "SHUT UP KEL!" and Vincent will go "you shut up!" and they fight back and forth.
mommy2owen replied: Alyssa talks in her sleep all the time!
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Lol that's hilarious!!
Dh talks in his sleep ALL the time. If I'm not too sleepy I try to figure out what he's saying but usually he's either mumbling or I'm too tired to care. I've been known to talk in my sleep but not very often - at least Dh doesn't hear it but he sleeps like a rock.
LootingSawyer replied: Sara we are due about the same date. THat's neat! I used to babysit a child, 2 years barely when I stopped, and he talked in his sleep all the time. Usually it was one or two words such as mom Tavy- that was me, ball or Elmo.
I don't know if my darling husband Vig -loveydad- realizes this but he talks in his sleep all time. It's cute when I'm not tired.
MommyToAshley replied: Ashley talks in her sleep. She'll also laugh in her sleep, too. When she was younger, I saw her crawl across the crib without waking up.
I'll do the same thing, I will hear her on the monitor and then go in there and she is sound asleep. I don't talk in my sleep and neither does DH. But, I think she did inherit his snoring.
DansMom replied: Daniel's been talking about food. Night before last he said "GRAPES!". Last night he said "CHICKEN". I must not be feeding him enough, or too much... ?
Josie83 replied: I don't think it has anything to do with having a sleep pattern. In fact, i thought that you only talked in your sleep if you were deeply asleep, suggesting he's sleeping well? I wouldn't worry about it unless he's tired or not sleeping. cassie talks in her sleep quite a lot, as do I - it drives Jason mad. I wouldn't worry about it xx
coasterqueen replied: Kylie will blurt out words in her sleep sometimes. I just figure she's dreaming about something.
I hope it's not something hereditary because I used to sleep walk as a kid, don't anymore though. One time my mom said that I pulled a chair up to the kitchen sink and pee'd in it.
MommyToAshley replied: That's funny!
MommyToAshley replied: ROFLMBO!!!
HAHAHAHA! Ok, you almost made me pee in my pants!
kimberley replied: Jacob still does this! it is too funny! Jade laughs in her sleep
alice&arik replied: Well I am glad Arik isn't the only one!! I just hope he doesn't get as bad as I was when I was little. It always seemed to happen to me when something was changed while I slept. Like I would be sleeping and someone would turn a light off or on.
