jen replied: I'm so sorry, I really feel for you. It took us a little longer than a year and then when all our ducks seemed to be in a row it happened. I was starting to get concerned. It is good that you know you have PCOS, a lot of people don't know they have it and it goes untreated and they can't seem to get pregnant. How long have you known you have PCOS??? Do they have a plan of action for you, or are you still trying naturally?? Best of Luck and *****BABY VIBES******* smile.gif

Taz Snow replied: Thanks, right now they just have me on the Glucophage XR to regulate my perids but other then that nothing.

I found out about PCOS about a two years ago when my perids were all messed up. I was at the point were I hadn't had one for about 6 months and we thought that I was pregnet put all the home pregnetcey test were negetive and so were the ones the the doctors did. So then they checked for other things and then they found out that I have PCOS.

But then in the back of my mine I think that I will never have a baby because my cusin was a tiwn and was told that only one of them would be able to have kids and then I have heard that from other people too so I don't know if it is true or not but I hope that it ant true. Because I am a tiwn myself. But I still have time to have a child I am only 24 years old but my husband is 42 (will be 43 this year) and I i can have them soon.

jen replied: I haven't heard that about twins. I am a twin too!!! WOW!!! I don't think that is true, at least I hope not!!! Are you an identical twin??? I am.

Why don't you talk to your doctor about a more aggressive approach to make sure you are ovulating?? Maybe you could try taking Clomid for a couple of cycles??

Taz Snow replied: Nope I have a brother.

I never thought aobut asking about trying anything differnet. I'll have to do that. Thanks for the thought.

jen replied: Your welcome! Sorry I can't be more help!!! BUT...........don't lose hope, there is SOOOOOOOO much you can do nowadays!!! Stay on the Boards, there is a great group here! wink.gif

Taz Snow replied: Thanks...you gave me somthing to think about...it is more help then you think. I plan to stick around for a long time.

jen replied: GOOD!!! it is always nice to add to our family!!! wink.gif

It will happen in your time. biggrin.gif I'm glad you stopped by the board. Hope to see you around lots. thumb.gif

maestra replied: Hi, I'm Michelle, WOHM to Jaci, 16 months. I was just diagnosed with PCOS on Monday, and they found it by accident. My daughter was an accident, and the dr. is surprised I was able to get pregnant. I go in next week for my blood work to determine my insulin levels, and my dr. wants to put me on metformin if they are high. We (my Dh and I) think we will try to ttc #2 this summer since it might be harder than we thought!

Welcome, you'll really like it here!

jem0622 replied: My sister has PCOS. She has one son who will be 10 in March. He is a miracle really. And she is grateful.

I would just caution you about Clomid b/c they are finding out more and more that women who use these infertility drugs are developing cervical and ovarian cancer at alarming rates. Otherwise I would definitely tell you to use the Clomid. Talk more with your doctor. I think that taking the Glucophage is a big start and might be all that you need.

HUGS

Taz Snow replied: oh yeah..that good for her. thanks for the support.
