Superbowl

How about the commercials, which ones did you like? There were a lot of good ones this year, but I guess I missed the memo about the 3-D glasses.
Danalana replied: I didn't really like the halftime show...then again, the only ones I have liked in recent years were Tina Turner ('99) and Paul McCartney (I forget what year, and I liked it marginally). I wonder why they don't get people who aren't nearing retirement. I don't mean anything bad by that statement, but why not get somebody people recognize, who were born in the eighties (not that I was, cause I was born in '74)? I know Springsteen was The Boss in his day....and maybe he still is and I just didn't care for the show. I think I am going to write the halftime show committee about this matter
Oh, I should mention that I detest the Steelers, so I didn't like the game either. And because I didn't like the game, I missed a lot of the commercials. There were a few we liked, but I can't remember what they were!
luvmykids replied: As far as the actual game, I don't remember one more exciting. I really, REALLY, really wanted the win for Warner but it just didn't happen, there were some awesome plays though by both teams. I was hoping that touchdown (I think it was the 3rd qtr?) in the end zone didn't count but man what a nice catch.
I didn't watch the half time show, heard it but I was in the kitchen. My fave commercial was the one for Diet Pepsi Max....where "guys can take anything". I was rolling on the floor laughing when the guy dropped the bowling ball on the other guys head and said "My bad"
momofone replied: He doesn't look 59
Calimama replied: Heck he barely looks 40!!!!
boyohboyohboy replied: am I the only one who thought the commercials were totally inappropriate for family viewing tv? I mean most of them were sexual in nature.
we actually turned it off because I dont need my 7 yr old boy looking at women showing off breasts every few moments..
mom21kid2dogs replied: Loved the Pedigree commercial where they threw the frisbee at the bull and said "Watch! He's so into this!" LOL!!! I didn't watch all of them, though.
Bruce was great~he always is but I think when he went down on his knees and back up at the beginning of the first song that "ow" wasn't a part of the song
I hate professional football as a rule but it was a great game. Go Santonio Holmes!!!
jcc64 replied: I think my favorite commercial was the one that showed two sides of a wall in an office: on one side was the boss' luxurious suite, complete with classical music, over-stuffed leather armchairs, and an impressive moose trophy head mounted on a wall. The camera then pans to the exact same spot on the other side of the wall where the business end of the moose is directly over the worker drone's desk, with his behind positioned directly over his head. The voice-over said something to the effect of, "Time to look for a new job." I don't even know what the commercial was for, but what hilarious social commentary it was!
Danalana replied: I loved the one where they threw the frisbee to the bull too...hit it right in the face
msoulz replied: Nope, you are not the only one! Boobs & beer seemed to be the theme of the evening!
MommyToAshley replied: I wasn't impressed with most of the commercials this year either. There were a couple that were ok. At least the game was great, especially the second half!
mom21kid2dogs replied: Actually, this is the only sporting event where we don't flip for commercials. They are never appropriate for children~ beer, boobs and cialas (apparently, lots of golf fans need the latter )
My3LilMonkeys replied: I thought it was a great game, especially the 2nd half. I love close games cause they are so exciting!
Bruce was okay, but not fabulous IMO.
My favorite commercials were the Mr. Potato Head one, the Mean Joe Green spoof with Polamalu, and the moose one Jeanne mentioned.
MomToJade&Jordan replied: I'm with you Jeanne. After I watched "The Boss" do his thing I said that was the best halftime show I have ever seen. I missed last years for some odd reason. I remember hearing it, but I think I was outside taking care of someone. Anyway the game was really good. Down to the wire which made it exciting. Not sure if I can pick a favorite comercial, but I really liked the one where the Clysdale goes across country to track down that little filly in the circus.
