Suggestion for parents - with children afraid of spiders

My 5 year old has unexpectedly been wetting her panties for the last few days and we finally found out that she was afraid of the "spider that Papa put in the potty". I feel so awful-I feel bad for her but it's so funny at the same time. I love the logic of kids!

Isabellasmom replied: awww poor kid! I'm also terrified of spiders. I won't kill them and whoever does isn't allowed to put them in the trash can but HAS to flush them. I know I know, they won't come back out of the trash to get me but still

Ok and here I thought that it just some childish fear and couldn't ever happen! Now I'm going to be peering into the toilet before I sit on it every time again! Although I kind of doubt there are any snakes around in this cold weather.
