Stupid vacume and ??

mckayleesmom wrote: Ok...I just bought a new vacume the other day. It is that Eureka light weight one and it totally sucks....It clogs up more then it vacumes. I swear, if you can't pick up nerds and small pieces of paper...you don't qualify as a vacume.

Anyways....anyone knows a good one that works? My MIL has one and its awesome, but I couldn't find it there. Anyone have the Dirt devil or something. Im looking to stay in the same price range...This one was on sale for 49 dollars. I just want a light weight one that does really good and has minimal clogs....Also....Im hoping for one that doesn't take bags.

skinkybaby replied: Get a Dyson thumb.gif

EDIT: I didn't see the part about staying in that price range. nevermind. Dysons are expensive, but worth it!

mckayleesmom replied: Ya...this carpet is not worth a dyson...If it was nicer...I would consider it.... tongue.gif

skinkybaby replied: I'd love to get a roomba too. (Is that how you spell it?) Anything to cut down on how much cleaning I have to do! laugh.gif

mckayleesmom replied:
Ya.....Karen has one and loves hers......I jsut want something light weight because my kids are always spilling things and getting crumbs everywhere.

skinkybaby replied: Its such a pain to find a nice, affordable vacuum that works.

mckayleesmom replied:
I know....I hate this sucker.....I liked it because it was 1. cheap and 2. came with hoses to suck up things along the furniture and walls......but it just clogs and clogs....I didn't pay for clogs...Im packing the sucker back up and taking it back tonight. I love the one my MIL has too because it does really good on hardwood floors and tile. This one has a floor option, but doesn't work good at all.

kit_kats_mom replied: roomba is out of theprice range but it's great. I just let mine loose every night on the carpet and every morning in the kitchen. I don't know about prices but Real Simple, the magazine, just had a story on the best vaccums. They may have something online

Cece00 replied: Search online for vacumn reviews.

If you were looking to spend more, I'd suggest an Oreck. We plan to get one when we move & save a little $$ (they are about as costly as a Dyson, but with no filters to replace...)

mckayleesmom replied:
I would...maybe in the future...I have a phantom one and a hoover...I just want a cheapy one that is light weight and good for small clean ups.

luvmykids replied: My mom has one from Shark, it's not cordless or anything but she bought it because on QVC or HSN they showed it picking up bolts. Personally I think it's a little noisy but it does the job. I think I've seen them at Bed, Bath & Beyond too.

AlexsPajamaMama replied: I have a Bissell PowerForce...it works great, I vacumme daily, sometimes more than once a day and have had no problems with clogs, it has a house and attachments...but uses a bag.
I got it at Walmart almost 4 years ago for I dont know how much anymore, but I've seen them recently there for not alot of money...under $100

gr33n3y3z replied: I think my friend Mike has the Dirt devil one and it works really well

Take the other one back and tell them something is wrong with it or it doesnt work and get your money back and put it tords the other one wink.gif

mckayleesmom replied:
Its already in the box and ready to go back tonight.

paradisemommy replied: i have one of those shark ones but it's one of those hand helds and i got it at the nex for like $35 - the suction on it is really good but it gets super hot pretty fast so if it's for something little you wanna suck up - it's a great vacuum...for long haul vacuuming..maybe not so good..

Kaitlin'smom replied: what about getting that carpet flick thing for the everyday spills? I dont have but but am thinking of getting one for quick clean ups when I dont want to drag our vaccumme out. I am waiting till I get new carpet and then I want a dyson

MyBabeMaddie replied: I just bought the cheapest Bissell at Wal-Mart for $49 i think, maybe it was $59.. Its bagless, works fine for me but I know my mom has it also and she hates it - but with 2 black labs and a long-haired cat I'm sure she needs something heavy-duty.
