Stuffed Animals

mckayleesmom replied: Well....Mckaylee JUST got into barbies and stuff...so we have a huge population too...Many which are sacred to her. She has some on a shelf in her room and some in her toybox. Whenever one gets a hole....she knows we have to pitch it.....This is a MUST because one time I didn't realize she has a hole in one of them and she stuck half the stuffing in her nose......For months she has this awful smell coming from her nose and I couldnt figure out what it was....doctors kept saying it was an infection.....Finally I found a different doctor and he ended up pulling half of a hippo out of her nose... . So if it has a hole...its bye bye....Also...I usually keep an eye on what animals she isn't playing with anymore and chuck them when shes not looking...

kimberley replied: we do a purge before christmas of all toys. this year we had 6 garbage bags full plus a few i freecycled. it teaches them to help other kids who have nothing and it helps me make room for the new junk they get for christmas.

lovemy2 replied: Very easy - Olivia is in Kindy in the pms and I have Fridays off - once a month they get cleaned out - but she has some that are pretty sacred to her so I usually throw out the DOLLAR store ones that MIL buys her

sparkys2boys replied: The boys don't have alot of stuffies as they call them so I don't have any problems with that part. Now if anyone can tell me how to limit army men, planes, tanks, transformers, GI Joe stuff etc let me know

We don't have too many luckily. She carries around her main one, she named "Baby tiny" it's one of those beanie baby Chihuahua's.

My3LilMonkeys replied: We have boxes and boxes of them....they are the one thing I am a pack rat about. I have one whole box of my stuffed animals from when I was a kid.

DillsMommy replied: When I was little I LOVED my stuffed animals. They would all sleep in bed with me because I "felt bad" if I left one out. lol. So I have a hard time getting rid of any of the boys. They are some of the cutest toys they have.

grandma replied: Harley Chapters do runs called "Toys For Tots" they are for sure around Christmas and sometimes at other times of the year. If the stuffed animals are in really good shape you could give them to the Harley Chapters in your area.
They are usually new toys donated by the riders, but I'm sure if you called you could just drop them off.

Brias3 replied: We have so many, it drives me nuts! I try not to buy the kids any new stuffed animals- they get most of them as gifts. Personally, I hate having the things around because they take up space and no one seems to play with them anyway!
