Stress relief - how do u relax?
luvbug00 wrote: Since I'm pulling my hair out here. I figure why not see what everyone does to relieve that tension. So how do you relieve stress?
amymom replied: I don't So I am waiting to see what replies come up here. I am very interested in some new techniques.
Now then, that being said, one way I do relieve tension is.... I would really need to answer in P&I.
TANNER'S MOM replied: Well I have learned to take time for myself even if I feel selfish at first.
It may just be locking myself in the bathroom to use it in peace..
But other things I do is read books..which is somethign I really enjoy. Everyone can be in the living room watching Tv.. I can be right there beside them..and reading my book and still be doing for me and in my own little world.
I do things alone like shopping and meet friends for shopping. I love to get my nails done.
And I love to exercise. That really helps me. If I do my yoga or walk everyday I feel refreshed.
Parenting Club helps me too.
C&K*s Mommie replied: I relax with showers, thinking by myself, talking & having a good laugh. The laughing is the best stress reliever in a bind, when you cannot get alone to think, or take a shower.
Edward's Mommy replied: I don't!!!!!!
kimberley replied: used to be a night of passion with dh... now, it's sleep
kit_kats_mom replied: sleep, exercising, Parenting Club, lie on the floor and let the girls crawl all over me like Gulliver and if I am at home with the girls and I need to just let loose and change the vibe around here, we put on dance music and boogie or we paint, play chase, whatever gets us all giggling.
Maddie&EthansMom replied:
Seriously...I love reading, painting, exercising, taking long baths, listening to music, dancing, laughing, fresh air. the list could go on and on.
MyLuvBugs replied: Relax? What's that? I seem to remember it a long time ago, but......
I don't know anymore. I try to sew, and that relaxes me to a point. Long Hot showers or baths are great, but who has time for those anymore. And reading helps, but it depends on what your reading. I bet your stressing about the wedding huh? I definately wouldn't read anything about weddings then.
A&A'smommy replied: Um dance every week.. it use to help to exercise and parenting club
luvmykids replied: Well it may sound selfish but every night at 9 I QUIT. Whatever is done is done and whatever isn't will still be there tomorrow. If I don't do that I'm a monster, it keeps me from feeling like "it" never ends. Then I get on the computer, read, catch up on TV, bubble bath, whatever. Oh, and I have dessert every single night after the kids go to bed, I wait instead of eating it with them so I can really savor it and pretend I'm indulging.
And once in a while I take the kids to Mothers Day Out at a church here and totally indulge in whatever sounds good to me that day. Shopping, a manicure, even if it's just running errands in peace or cleaning out my closet.
mommymonster replied: I like to unwind the day by taking a hot bath at night with lavender oil and sometimes a glass of red wine.
