Stress almost to tears

TANNER'S MOM wrote: It dawned on me that school will be out in less then a full MONTH and I have no one to watch TANNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am freaking out. His after school care, which I am really not happy with...wants 80.00 aweek to watch him. It is more than I really want to pay..and she will only have him a few days a week..

His sister is too busy. And to be honest they fight to bad. Justin spends alot of time with his Dad in the summer..

Oh WHAT am I gonna do???

My plan was that Randy's mom was gonna watch him..but since we had that big fight......................... bawling.gif bawling.gif bawling.gif bawling.gif

amynicole21 replied: Yikes! Is there any sort of day camp in your area that he could go to? I imagine that would probably cost more than $80/week though... I wish I knew what to tell you! I know that it will work out, but in the meantime, good luck finding something!

I'm THRILLED if a sitter will take only 25$ for a day! emlaugh.gif

My TYPICAL daycare (not now, since DH's Work pays for it....) is about 1200$ a month for 2 kids, full days.

TANNER'S MOM replied: Well I don't think that is cheap for someone to watch a child a few days a week..

He is 7 years old and can feed , dress, bathroom himself.

And We are talking part time.
I am not paying a babysitter more than I make an hr!

Kaitlin'smom replied: eeek 80 for part time is rather high to me thats almost what I pay for full time care

hummm I have no clue what to suggest

JAYMESMOM replied: Here in Michigan I pay 25.00 a day. And I get off cheap. The average is 30-50 a day.

gr33n3y3z replied: that is so expensive
Look into a day camp they may have one is your area like a summer program

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Oh no Mel that stinks! Well since it's summer maybe you can find a nice reliable high school girl to be a regular babysitter? Or is there another day care in your area that would work better than the one you have now? I don't blame you for not wanting to stick with the one you've got now after the problems you had with her! Good luck finding someone ~ and soon.gif !!!

mammag replied: Oh I hope you find someone good soon! I know how stressed you must be! I agree with maybe finding a highschooler that needs the money and maybe even offer $20/day. They might need the extra money.

Good luck!!

My2Beauties replied: Wow I pay exactly $80 a week for full time care, I mean that is 9 hours a day! I agree with the high school babysitter, $20 bucks a day would be perfect for someone that age!

kimberley replied: omg that is a lot of money! what about any neighborhood girls looking for a pt summer job? do you know any from your church or post an ad at the school? i mean he is not a baby and can mostly take care of himself so maybe this would be a good choice for her to watch him at home and i bet it wouldn't cost nearly that amount.

TANNER'S MOM replied: Well, I live so rural that I have no neighbors..

Ok this is how it is .. Like if school wasn't in.. I would need a babysitter this week.. Mon-Weds..and no more the rest the of the week.. From 7:30-4:30

And next week it will be Tues- Thurs..

I am just worried..

And I know that some people by 25.00 and when he was a baby I paid a 100.00 a week..but he didnt' wipe his own butt then like he does now!..lolol

coasterqueen replied: Yikes! Sorry you are so stressed out :-( I think part-time care at my dcp is $20 a day (I think). Kylie is going part-time right now but I'm paying her full-time price just because Dh and I felt we should.

Hopefully something soon will come your way. grouphug.gif

Alice replied: Several people have suggested high schoolers. Write a letter to the guidance dept of the local high school. Let them know what you're looking for, and what you're willing to pay. Tell them you'll provide references, etc.

A&A'smommy replied: Do you have any friends that have teenagers... ugh I wish I had better advice!!! I'm sending you LOTS of sitter vibes maybe one will find you! wink.gif

MommyToAshley replied: Oh no! I hope you find something soon. grouphug.gif

I wish we lived close, I'd watch that cutie pie!!!

MomToJade&Jordan replied: If you have a YMCA nearby the offer a summer camp. I think the prices vary depending on where you are at.

Merlin replied: Being a daycare provider myself maybe I can offer you some insite to this. First go to your local social service office and ask them for a list of the inhome daycares that they have. Now I will tell you most of these ladies that do the in-home daycare will be willing to make a deal with you because they understand the high cost of daycare and became daycare providers so they didnt have to pay it. If its anything like it is here most will be more than willing to work with you. I provide inhome private daycare and cleaning service (basiclly a nanny who goes home everynight) and so my service costs more but I still only charge 30.00 a day per child. I hope that you are able to find something cheaper.
