What is the strangest name you have ever heard of??? There are some odd ones out there!
I worked in the medical field (hospital and Dr. s office)and quit when AnaBeth was born. Before I came back to work fuul time (medical field again) I worked as a substitute teacher and boy I came across some strange ones:
Shithead (look closely) The pronounce it Sha' Thade ------Why!!??
Cynnamon - beautiful, thick strawberry-blonde hair
Orangejello (O Ron Ja Lo), Lemonjello (La Mon Ja Lo) twins, and No! I am not Kidding!
Placenta- Truely, the mother asked what that was and the nurse told her and she said "That's a nice name" ---good greif that's gross!
Female (Fa Mall EE) no joke, they could not decide what to name her and they saw it on the little card in the nursery----DUHHH!!!
MomToMany replied: Wow, those take the cake! What is WRONG with some parents??
mckayleesmom replied: Ransom
Fathom
Lavender
Malaria....like the illness
Pena...prounounced PEE-NA...just wierd to me
JonBonet ...still cant' figure out how they came up with that
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: OMG, I'm sorry, but that's a little sick to me! But to each their own!
luvbug00 replied: LOL nothing I have could beat those..
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I still think Apple is a little strange!
luvbug00 replied: I liked pilot inspector.. LOL that one is a classic!!
kit_kats_mom replied: I've got a lot of them. Actually know a cinnamon (her daughters are sage and chyanne) ROFL. She's a bit flakey.
Anyway my all time "take the cake" name was
Faginal Dickey.
She was a customer at a bank that I worked at. There is no way to say her first name without it sounding really bad. As an added note, an old timer at the bank advised me that she actually married Mr. Dickey and took his last name. She used to be Faginal somehting else not nearly as bad as Dickey. LOL
Aprilnewbee replied: My brother went to school with a brother-sister couple whose last name was Bridge. Their names were London (boy) and Brooklyn (girl). So their names were London Bridge and Brooklyn Bridge. That has just got to be mean, at least the girl can marry someone else, the boy is just stuck with it.
beth
MyLuvBugs replied: Yeah that's the same one I was thinking of. Shithead. Although the couple that I knew pronounced is Sha'Theed. But they were also addicted to crack, and were completely high when they named her. The baby was taken to social services, but I don't know if they ever changed her name. I just dont' understand why people do that to their kids.
amymom replied: OMG those are some names!!! I think the worst I heard was a girl named September and her last name was Heart. So....September Heart
I had a friend whose wife wanted to name their daughter Andromeda, He talked her into Starr
A&A'smommy replied: good lord some people just have NO clue kids are SOo mean and that can actually scar them geez those are awful!!
ions_momma replied: OMG some of those names are awful!! Of course, I have had people tell me that Ion's name is terrible too, but we had reasons on naming him that.
redchief replied: Wawa, a successful convenience store chain that originated in the Delaware Valley and is slowly spreading south and north is still completely family owned. The owner's name? Dick Wood.
punkeemunkee'smom replied: ROFLMAO!!!!
But some people are so mean to their kids! I went to school with a girl named Rainbow Faith, a boy named Harley Davidson, and babysat a girl name Ariel Reign...one of my friends has a child named Trinity Whisper(pretty but different) and another has Timmothy Anthony...Timmy Tony??? Bf's sister is Serene Hope.
*Edit to say a governor of Texas named his girls Ima and Youra..their last name you ask???...PIGG...!!!
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I work in a hospital. about 2 years ago a family named their little boy Kocane (guess who had a positive tox screen), then 3 months ago they had a baby girl. Her name is Crystal Meth. I grew up with a family whose last name was Greene. They named their kids things like Forrest, Jade and Kelly. ETA my 9th grade English teacher's name was Mrs. Pecker. You couldn't have paid me enough money to take that name.

I know a couple who called there daughter KahlĂșa like the drink, and their son is named Smirnoff, like the vodka.
holley79 replied:
I'm sitting here laughing my butt of at some of these names. Some of these parents have no heart. Don't they realize children are cruel. LOL
I have been getting a lot of flack for Annika Lily. Is it really that bad????
sunshine girls replied: Annika Lily is a nice name, I really like it. Would they rather you name her Kocane? It's a lovely name, don't listen to what they say about it. I got some flack for naming my daughter Navi, before she was born a few friends would ask if Navi was going to join the Navy.
MM'sMama replied: Kids I went to school with,

my2monkeyboys replied: A friend of mine that works as the Health Dept here told me just a few months ago that 2 ladies were pregnant and had their girls at about the same time. When they brought them in for their checkup one had been named Gonorrhea (pronounced Go NOR ea) and the other was Syphilis (pronounced se FILE us). Guess where they got the names... the disease chart hanging in the waiting room!!! And they make you take a test to drive a car.....
ions_momma replied: I forgot to mention a friend of mine named her little boy Rowdy!
ions_momma replied: OMG! That awful! Those poor kids!
My3LilMonkeys replied: Well I work for a national baby portrait company (one of the ones that does the hospital photos) so I see and hear tons of baby names. Some of the great ones:
Nevaeh (it's Heaven spelled backwards, and VERY popular in IL right now)
Rasheedah
Chaquita (can you imagine being called Chaquita Banana your whole life?)
Phylana
Malachi
Tieryanie
Aranzazu
Rekkylah
and my all time favorite.......
Lil'girly (pronounced Lillgearly) I just think that is very odd.
ions_momma replied: I actually know someone who had a baby this past summer and named her Neveah.
I dont think Malachi is really that strange of a name. I know a couple kids with that name actually. I will admit, it is different, but its not too bad compared to other names.
toady_buckshot_noodle replied: I know a girl who named her son Levi Garret (like the tobacco) and then put him up for adoption
six_kids_at_28 replied: Ok, my kids go to a small school with about 90 kids, its only K-2 and we were talking about this at dinner..you wouldn't belive some of their classmates names!!
Strawberry and her sister Mango
Haya (pronounced Hah-yah)
Convetible
Ventile (pronounced Vent-ille)
Mulroney (named after the actor Dermot Mulroney)
And thats in a super small town elementary school
Debra replied: So you actually knew these people? Wow! T actually hey wrote a story about it on snopes.com & actually mentioned some of the names of people you knew!
http://www.snopes.com/racial/language/names.htm
toady_buckshot_noodle replied: Debra, Well, I am not sure it would be the same people but yes, I do know people with those names. Apparently it is more common than I thought. scary
toady_buckshot_noodle replied: Debra, I read the page on your link!!! Wow some of those are worse!
ilovemybaby replied: Malachi is actually a bible name... but I would never use it! LOL There are a lot of weird bible names... I know a girl named Bathsheba (it's a bible name). I'm not sure if the "th" is silent but she always pronounced it "ba - sheba".
punkeemunkee'smom replied: Malachi is too Children of the Corn...right Brianne?
punkeemunkee'smom replied: We know a couple who has 2 boys named Rowdy and Roan...I like those names. They really don't have a choice but to be involved in rodeo or something! Lol!
huggybugboy replied: You guys are mean! i love the name malachi and my friend just named her son that.
Man, the kids in my fifth grade class are already making fun of my sons name and he's only 6 months old. (my last name is pronounced like fuel - so miles fuel) papa calls him jet which is even better.
oh and since I was due on march 31, if I had a girl on april 1st, we had a joke that we would name her april and then her name would be april fuel.
punkeemunkee'smom replied: LMBO!!!
Btw- I LOVE to see your siggy! It makes me smile! He is sooooooo sweet! Taylor is in love with his pics!
My3LilMonkeys replied: huggybuggyboy (and everyone else), I'm sorry if I offended you or came off as mean. It certainly wasn't my intention.
I'm not saying there is anything wrong with Malachi - or any of the other names I listed. They are just names that I personally think are strange. I understand that everyone has a different definition of what is strange. My father says that Madison is a strange name - he keeps telling me that if I wanted to name her after a dead president I should have picked Lincoln.
Again, I apologize if my choices offended anyone.
ions_momma replied: I know someone named April May! lol
C&K*s Mommie replied: i wonder how much it would cost to have a name change, legally!?!? LOL
kit_kats_mom replied: not much actually. My DH had his middle name changed when he was in college & he was poor as can be. LOL
six_kids_at_28 replied: $200-$400!!!
How much it costs to legally change a name
punkeemunkee'smom replied: I don't think we were being mean just kidding around! I like interesting names(STDs and such not included )...sorry if it came off as mean to anyone!
