Stimulus Check?

If you paid for your taxes to get done out of your return or got any kind of advance refund...I think you get a paper check.

Well it says the direct deposit people are scheduled for tomorrow, but the paper checks won't be out til later.

Have you called the place where you got your taxes done to ask if you are getting paper or deposit yet? I think some places differ too.

Also..I wouldn't go by that schedule to be exact....I know people that didn't get it till a week after that thing said it was scheduled to be there.

mckayleesmom replied: I think they should have never had a schedule. It has always been changed or off. I know a bunch of people online that spent money or wrote bad checks depending on that money being in their account and it didn't happen on time.

A friend of mine did ours but I was told that if you had your refund direct deposited than your stimulus check would automatically be direct deposited. I'm just so anxious and it's driving me crazy. LOL!

Im actually pretty calm about it....which suprises me.....Maybe its because Im still not sure what we are doing with it.

I'm only anxious cause Jeff lost his job a few months back and things have been pretty tight. He's back to working, but it's been awhile since we've had any money to have fun with. So for me, it can't get here soon enough.

That is correct - if you direct deposited your refund it the stimulus check goes into the same account -

I am still waiting on mine too - we are an 88 SS#.....

lisar replied: I didnt do direct deposit. Those are the only ones getting theres this week. If you did a rapid refund or any form of a check on your taxes then we have to wait longer. DH's last 2 are 06 so we are expecting ours to be in the mail friday.

PrairieMom replied: I'm a 20 and didn't get mine yet, although, I don't think our will be direct deposit since we had to pay in this year, even tho we did automatic withdrawal... and have always done direct deposit in the past... what ever.
Mines going directly into savings anyway, so I'm not to worried about it.

If you received a refund anticipation loan OR paid for your tax services out of your refund you will get a paper check. You can find out for sure by looking back at your bank statement-if it says IRS by your refund deposit, then you are ok for direct deposit, anything else (hrblock, etc) then it will be paper. I nearly had a heart attack when I found this out-I couldn't remember what we did and boy did we need the money asap. Thankfully ours went in last Friday. Not early-right on schedule.

Crystalina replied: My sister has a phone number that you call and it tells you exactley when you get your check and how much your getting. She worked 3rd shift at the hospital last night so I can't call her until she wakes up but when I get the number I'll post it. We called for ours and it was correct.

Mommy2BAK replied: we are 87 and haven't seen ours yet and someone said that if you did turbo tax then you may not get it directly deposited, so now I'm worried that we will have to wait for paper checks

My3LilMonkeys replied: We're a 99 and expecting ours tomorrow as well. There's a thing on the irs website here where you put in your SSN, filing status and number of exemptions and it tells you the amount you're getting and when to expect it.

Not true, Tamara~so don't worry. We did Turbo Tax and ours was direct deposited earlier this week.

See my other post with information we got from our software company (I work in an accounting firm) that pertains just to people whose returns were filed through Prosystems but it could be affecting others....there have been some problems with it - what software did your preparer use? Are you sure they claimed Avery for you?

BTW - we are 88 and haven't gotten ours yet....

Boys r us replied: Tamara, the thing with Turbo tax is if you PAID for your tax service(like the $25 fee) out of your anticipated refund instead of giving turbo tax your credit card number to bill you for your service, then you will get a paper check. I don't know if that even made sense..so let me refresh!

You used turbo tax to do taxes and turbo tax cost $25 for their software..before submitting your tax refund for you turbo tax says, pay me the $25 so you:

A ) provide your CC # and pay them their $25 (you will be direct deposited)

or

B ) say take the $25 I owe you out of my tax refund (you will get paper check)


I did my lil bro's taxes for he and his fiance via turbo tax and he had his preparation fees deducted from his refund, so he has to wait for a paper check and he's flipping out..so I researched it for him and that's the info I found!

Your $300 for Avery may be included but you just may have gotten less for yourselves as you anticipated, what you get depends on how much you paid in on taxes this year.

Exactly.....It was initially advertised as you can get UP TO a certain amount, but not neccessarily the exact amount.
