Sponge Bob
holley79 wrote: Ok how is it that my almost 2 year old is OBSESSED with Sponge Bob???? I find him annoying. Shawn when it's on. Annika goes around saying Sponge Bob all the time. Anyone else have this problem?????
luvmykids replied: It stumps me too...Macie started loving him at that same age I guess it's the brilliant premise of a sponge that talks and wears shorts that fascinates them
MoonMama replied:
Calimama replied: No matter what Miabella is doing when she hears the theme song she goes running, dances to it, and then walks away when it's over.
PrairieMom replied: Mine don't watch him. Thank goodness. From what I have seen he is extrememly annoying.
Our Lil' Family replied: I am so glad not to have cable because of this show! It's much easier to avoid. It's just not a show I want Thomas to watch, I'd rather him not pick up the things they say on there!
AlexsPajamaMama replied: We don't have cable either...Alex likes Sponge Bob and if he happens to catch it on tv at some one elses house then thats differant than having it on tv at home everyday. I dont mind him in moderation...as long as my kid doesnt start repeating annoyingness he learns from the show
jcc64 replied: I like him. I find the show pretty amusing, though there are too many repeats. Alas, Corey's moved on to the Disney channel, and all things "High School Musical".
coasterqueen replied: My girls love him. Not sure why, but they do. He is funny, but in a stupid kind of way.
Boo&BugsMom replied: Tanner use to love SB as well at this age. When his like for him vanished Troy was sad because he likes it. One year he got a Spongebob video, Tanner became bored with it and walked away as it was playing, and Troy and my brother were found watching the rest of it...without Tanner. Tanner has since moved onto other things, but he really liked SB when he was about 2 as well.
My2Beauties replied: SB is Hanna's favorite cartoon. DH loves him too I even find myself watching him sometimes, I think the show is hilarious on a stupid level, it's just fun for kids, no big deal. There is nothing on there that I've ever seen risky for kids to watch, now the SB movie is a different story. Hanna hasn't seen it, I watched it with DH and I didn't think it was very appropriate for kids.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I just started to let Wil watch it. He likes him, but not too much, thank god. I can't handle that show! The things they say, the nonsense, the loud voices, even the drawings are a bit disturbing. No offense to anyone. Remember, I let my kid watch it too (allows me to get a shower in ), but wow, I'm really stumped why it's so appealing to kids.
msoulz replied: That is exactly what Erin does and she just turned 2 on Monday!
Edited to say I just noticed I need to change my ticker for her!!
lisar replied: My kids like him. But they prefer others. Raygen loves Dora and Diego and Lexi likes Hanna Montana & Zack and Cody
holley79 replied: They had the marathon on Monday so I recorded the shows to DVD so if there is a moment that mommy needs a moment then it can go in the DVD player.
MotherForever2043 replied: Esther LOVES Spongebob She watched the whole marathon on Monday and watch Atlantis Squarepantis. I seriously don't know what she sees in him. Whenever she makes a mistake or does something wrong, she says "Oh , tartar sauce" Which drives me crazy Amber likes SB, but DEFINETLY not as much as Esther!
