Spent yesterday in the ER

ediep wrote: Thurdsay night I ate a frozen lean cuisine dinner and as soon as I ate it I felt nausous. The queasiness laste a few hours and eventually I vomited. I figured that the dinner just didn't settle well with me and that would be it.....well...not so. I was up all night vomitting and with masive diarreah.
Around midnight, I passed out in the bathroom, broke the towel bar and toilet paper holder and thank goodness, the towels broke my fall. DH was downstairs and he heared the crash and ran upstairs. I came to with him over me saying "O My God"
Well, I eventually was able to go to sleep for a few hours. About 6 or 7 am, by BIL Chris called DH to get ready for golfing and he told him, that he was taking me to the ER, so maybe my sister would come over to stay with Jay, my BIL said, "I'll be right there". Well, he was at our house in 5 minutes and DH and I left for the ER. By this time I was so weak and dehydrated. I was there for about 4-5 hours getting IV fluids and some meds. They also did some blood work to check my hormones levels for the baby, they said that the baby was fine. MY Ob came in to see us too and he said that he's sure that everything is fine, but I could get another sono next week just to double check.

anyway, I am starting to feel better now....still pretty weak and sort of dizzy. I haven't tried eating anything major yet, only toast, broth with pastina, and jello
so I think I'll be taking the Easter dinner pretty easy

Did they say what caused it? Was the food bad or was it just morning sickness and you were dehydrated?

I still think it was food poisoning, but they just said it was stomach bug

My2Beauties replied: Did you get food poisoning from it or did you have stomach flu or something and this triggered it even more? Bless your heart hon, I'm glad you are ok and that the baby is ok. Sorry you had such a bad weekend and spent the day in the ER!

well, I was convinced that it was food poisioning, but yesterday at Easter dinner my bro said that my SIL had the same stomach bug last week. We were together last weekend and my neice was complaining that her stomach hurt but she never got it that bad so I guess this stomach bug was running through my family.......man, do I hope Jason does not get it!!!!!!
