Speaking of xbox 360"s

mckayleesmom wrote: I heard that there were glinches in the systems that people already bought.....anyone else heard that? Im kind of glad I didn't get dh one if thats the case.

C&K*s Mommie replied: Have not heard that. What would the glitches cause the system to do or not do?

ammommy replied: I've read that some, but a pretty small sampling according to the PR, are shutting off mid-game. That's going to really, um, irritate those fanatics, I mean fans, that waited in line overnight to get their systems.

C&K*s Mommie replied: Punishment (maybe) for that man whose wife was in mild labor in the car when he waited on line, in the middle of night to buy one of those XBox's. Sweet revenge!! laugh.gif cool.gif

gr33n3y3z replied: Yes I did
The over heat and shut down or while playing they lock up and shut down
What would you expect from B.G. LOL

MM'sMama replied: I herd there were some too. My mom told me someone told her a few cought fire! ohmy.gif I don't know if that is true or not but OMG how scary! ohmy.gif

I told DH from the get go he could NOT have one!!! rolling_smile.gif (mean wife I know)

Kaitlin'smom replied: my Dh has one and so far no issues, the main reason you hear so much about the problems is due to the shortage, if they had plenty they would just exchange them and not much would be said.

holley79 replied:
I read that in our local paper. I was like dry.gif dry.gif . He had actually went in to Best Buy to purchase batteries while he was going to the hospital. (Luckily the hospital is across the street.) He saw they had some left. Someone asked him about his wife being in labor, his reply was "She's in a holding pattern right now." Typical darn military pilot. It sounds like something my DH would say and I would just have to rip him a new one.

A&A'smommy replied: I wish I would have bought so I could sell it on ebay for 800bucks tongue.gif

My2Beauties replied: I think whatever the craze is next year, I am going to save my money, be the first in line to buy 3 of them and sale them on ebay for $1500 bucks myself, those things were going for as much as $2000 ohmy.gif

Haven't heard of glitches, but neither DH or myself are into gaming systems. He still has a regular Playstation 1 and he never plays it.

luvbug00 replied: Brad has one and it works like a chram. yes he waited in line and ended up getting it off ebay to some poor sapp who not so briliantly sold it to him for 600.

My3LilMonkeys replied: DH bought one off of Ebay (for $420 bucks! I was thrilled) and it had an error within 5 min. of when he plugged it in. We called XBox and they overnighted us a box to return it. It was replaced with a brand new system that we had in 4 days. I was happy to see that they are doing what it takes to please the customer.

dolfinrse replied: DH has one, he reserved it as soon as they announced it (May of this year), he went to the video game store in the mall at midnight and picked it up. His friend, who didn't reserve it ended up sleeping overnight outside Best Buy to get one. wacko.gif

TsurugiButterfly replied: The number of actual "defective" systems is pretty small. Apparently, the problem seems to lie in the power supply overheating (Not such a surprise since there is not one, but THREE processors in that bad boy.) What the media doesn't tell you is that some of these incidents are not caused by faulty equipment, but because of lack of ventilation. Which can be easily remedied by always using the system in its vertical position, and keeping it off of carpets.

Both my SO and I are avid Xbox fans, and intend to get one as soon as we have the money to do so (More than likely after Tristan is born, hehehe)
