Speaking of weddings - Did anybody have anything bad happen

I found out I was pregnant with Mckaylee 4 days before we left for our wedding. The flight there must have kicked my morning sickness in because I felt horrible the whole time. I had to run and puke right before walking down the isle..
ZandersMama replied: There was thunder, lightning and pee poured rain the entire day. I should have taken it as a sign
DVFlyer replied: Pee?
ZandersMama replied: rained, alot,
moped replied: Buckets and buckets of rain for 3 days solid!!!!!
Celestrina replied: Aside from being able to see my BIL's wife's thong through her dress, it went ok.
redchief replied: Lisa was sick. We had to cancel our honeymoon. My grandmother was unable to attend because she had emphysema and was pretty much bound to the house, so we went up to her house the next day (a stop by her house was part of the plan en route to the honeymoon. She yelled at me and told me to get her home in bed and take care of her. A few weeks later we had a shorter version of our honeymoon though, and since by that time all of the attractions were closed, we spent most of the time occupying ourselves.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: My father stripped off his skivies.
other than that... things went relatively well.
mckayleesmom replied: Yikes...what provoked that?
boyohboyohboy replied: My husbands best man , who had our wedding rings, showed up literaly 2 seconds before we needed them in the ceremony!
My MIL bought my wedding dress, without me seeing it or ever trying it on and I was to scared to tell her I hated it, and it was ugly, and wore it to my wedding!!!
I was so stressed because my MIL took over my wedding plans that I got bleeding ulcers and was bleeding from my butt, and throwing up blood the week before my wedding and ended up in the hosp..... lesson learned: thats what happens when you hold your tongue and stress out!
~Roo'sMama~ replied: A lot went wrong at ours. I was sick with a nasty cold- could barely croak out my vows and couldn't talk to anyone afterwords because my throat and head hurt so bad. My brother did our pictures and it didn't go very well - he was crabby and it stressed me out so I forgot pics I wanted taken. My 5 month pg sister who was also a bridesmaid was CRABBY and yelling at all the groomsmen who were goofing off the whole time. Dh's mom made the food and it wasn't very good, and Dh's aunt made the cake and went against EVERYTHING we said we wanted. It was hideous, but Dh didn't want his mom to feel bad so he lied and said I like it. I woke up in the middle of the night on our wedding night and cried about that stupid cake.
Besides the cake and being sick though it was a wonderful day. The other things weren't such a big deal. I'd love to go back an re-live it without the illness so that I could enjoy it properly.
lovemy2 replied: Terrorist flew planes into the World Trade Center buildings 18 days before my wedding....which then prompted the National Guard to be walking all the airports we flew into and out of with major artillery over their shoulders - other than that is was absolutely wonderful and I loved every minute of it
mckayleesmom replied: Oh..I forgot..We got married in vegas and that was kind of our honey moon too. All our family was there and whenever anybody wanted to eat..they had to pick a place that was miles away. I had morning sickness so bad, plus 100+ Heat and walking did not go well./
HuskerMom replied: It was at the end of December so it was freaking cold. And one of the groomsmen was late because he was getting high with his girlfriend.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: It was a game for the bouquet toss. Two of the girls were always coming back with items at the same time.. the dj thought it woul dbe funny to request a pair of tighty whities.
Figures my dad's the one who provided them... but the girl who tried to bring them to me was happy to win the bouquet.
msoulz replied: The only "bad" thing that happened was our wedding party vehicle, a motor home, had to be swapped for a smaller one at the last minute and we could not fit 2 of the party into the motor home. So my brother and another groomsman drove my convertible behind the motor home. It worked out just fine since I needed the car to get home that night!
We had a really interesting weather day. It went from hot and sunny (everyone roasted at the church) to cold and rainy at the beginning of the reception. I thought that was very symbolic of marriage and life in general, some hot sunny days and some cold rainy ones.
coasterqueen replied: The only "bad" thing that happened at mine is a week or so before the wedding I got new contacts and I had been having issues with them. Well, as I was about ready to walk down the aisle w/Ryan to my father I peaked through an area of the wall to see Ryan up there and I started to cry - my contacts fell out and we couldn't find them and no one knew where my glasses was. When I started to cry I asked my dad to hold on a second (so I could find them) and he said "NO, you aren't backing out on this now!" Like I was going to back out on marrying Ryan. I about gave the man a heart attack. SO I had to walk down the aisle to Ryan w/no contacts in and I was blind as a bat. I couldn't see people smiling at me, who was even there, nothing. When I got up to the alter Ryan knew something was wrong so I whispered to him about the contacts and I had no clue he had a mic on and then the pastor thought something was wrong w/me and then I had to explain to him so he could go on w/the ceremony. I then had to walk down the aisle married and couldnt' see a darn thing. So in a way I missed out on a lot of all the wedding part. At the reception I had to wear my glasses, which really sucked for pictures, etc, etc, but hey - I got to marry my man and that is what was important.
