Speaking of updates... - here's what we have been doing!
Danalana wrote: We have finally bought a house! We were trying to go through a place in Tuscaloosa, and they gave us a huge run-around. We wasted so much time! We ended up going with a place in Columbus, MS. and they had us approved in no time We are getting a double-wide and it is gorgeous We really didn't want to leave this land, and we thought we would be perfectly happy in a double-wide until we build someday. It looks just like a house on the inside...high ceilings, crown moulding, etc...3 bedrooms, 2 full baths (praise the LORD!!), big walk-in closets My kitchen is huge, which is very important to me....it and the dining room are a beautiful red color (think Crimson) and all the appliances are black. I took some pictures, but they aren't very good because it was late in the day. I'll post some anyway. SO, last night was our last night in this house (trailer) I am so happy! You just don't understand how small this place is. It was always going to be temporary, but it went WAY longer than I wanted it to. We will be staying with my BIL and his family until ours is ready. They will be coming to get ours on Friday morning, but our power will be turned off here sometime today. Oh, and we already bought our new furniture...I LOVE it! We bought a sofa and loveseat (Ashley), 2 end tables (also Ashley), a new dining room table w/ 6 chairs and a new washer and dryer. Two night ago, we bought a new TV (a Sony Bravia--anybody have one?) and a wall mount. We just didn't want any of our old stuff in our new house! Here are a few pics, but the lighting really was very bad. The red doesn't look like the red that it actually is, but you'll get the idea.
Here's a picture of it on the lot...of course, it won't have that skirting on it.

Here's the kitchen...there is a door to the utility room, but it was open. Also, everything is taped up so it can't be opened

Part of the living room...the crown moulding hasn't been finished in part of it. They will finish the last-minute stuff when it gets out here.

Part of the master bathroom...notice how the toilet is enclosed There is also a walk-in shower when you first walk in.

I guess that's about it.
Also, update on Kade. The update on Alyssa reminded me to post. He saw an ENT 2 months ago because he had had 2 or 3 ear infections. He said there was only fluid on his ears at the time and we would see if it would drain on its own. Well, his follow-up is tomorrow, and I am afraid they are infected. He has been messing with his ears and just not himself If they are infected or still have fluid, I think he will suggest tubes. I'm not sure what we will do, but I'm leaning toward tubes. I didn't wanna do it, but I want him back to himself (completely). SO, that's tomorrow! I'm praying for the best! Thanks for reading/looking!
moped replied: Congratulations on the new home, looks lovely!!!! I am sure you will be very happy there!
Kade is a sweetie! Good luck with the ears!

stella6979 replied: Very nice Dana! I love the color of the kitchen and I love the flooring too!! Congratulations!!! I hope everything goes well with Kade's appointment.
PrairieMom replied: my first thought when I saw your post was " I don't care!!!"
Congrats on your new place! I LOVE that red color. I have been debating doing my kitchen / dining in a red color but can't seem to find the right one. I never in a million years would pick that one, but the end product looks so nice! Now I am back to the drawing board.
BTW, Al is so excited about your house, and is sitting on my lap waving at you at this very moment.
Danalana replied: Tell her I'm waving back to her and thank you!
mckayleesmom replied: So..are they just going to set up the new house where your old one was or are you moving away?
Danalana replied: It's gonna be on the same land...just maybe in a different spot
my2monkeyboys replied: I'm so excited for you!!! I really like it - very open! Good luck with Kade's ears tomorrow... I hope they get it straightened out so he can get back to his old self again! By the way, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the picture of him in your signature!!!!
My3LilMonkeys replied: Congrats on the new house!!! It looks great.
We have a Sony Bravia - a 46" I think. I LOVE it - the picture is super clear and really nice. The only downside is that the power, volume, etc controls are on top and ours is mounted up pretty high so if I lose the remote I can't turn the TV off without standing on a chair.
Mommy2Isabella replied: Congrats on the new place. I know when we talked about two years ago, you wanted a new place!! So I KNOW you are THRILLED!!!!!
Kade is getting too big. I love that photo of him and Richard!! Too cute!!
redchief replied: Very nice new digs!!!
On the Kade front, I remember making that decision with our John. It was tough, but for us it was the only real alternative to him maybe losing some of his hearing permanently. Good health vibes for tomorrow.
CantWait replied: I LOVE the house Dana, congrats, I hope you guys will be very happy there.
All the best for Kade, I hope they find a solution for him, and I agree that signature pic is PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!
MoonMama replied: Dana that is so awesome! CONGRATS on the beautiful new home!
Good luck with Kade's ears!
