Speaking of pets.....

Tom had a yellow lab (Chevy) years ago but he passed away and I don't think any pet could hold a candle to Chevy!

My3LilMonkeys replied: An American Eskimo dog Joker, 3 cats (Batcat, Riddles and Firefly), and a gerbil Tinkerbell. However Tinkerbell's 2 cagemates Batman and Nemo both passed away within the last 3 days so I am afraid we have a gerbil disease and I don't know if Tinkerbell will survive.

On a cuter note, we also have 2 ADORABLE 4 week old kittens that are Firefly's babies until they are old enough to move out - I've been meaning to post pics - hopefully tonight!

Brias3 replied: We have NO pets right now (besides the fishies), and my kids loathe me for it We were THIS close to getting a puppy at the end of summer, but held off and then I put a kabosh on the whole thing for a bit once I found out we had a baby on the way. I just don't know if I could handle a puppy and a new baby right now, so we'll think about it for next Christmas maybe

I'm also very pleased to announce that Bogie and the barn cats are co-existing very well...so I guess we can count them too

We did have a golden lab, and he was the most amazing dog ever.

We had fish before I went overseas (each of the kids had one), but while I was over the kids and hubby forgot to feed them and fill their water dishes.

mom21kid2dogs replied: We have Parker, the lab beagle wonder dog. He's wonderful! Sharpay, the fish lives in O's room. I'd love another dog but we just don't have the $$. I'm considering fostering for a rescue, though.

stella6979 replied: Aside from being deathly allergic to most animals, I also have serious OCD issues when it comes to animals, so all we have is fish.

We also have a neighborhood cat who adopted us (our cat's mother) so we feed her and she has access to the garage.

Cats are great because they are clean and self-sufficient to an extent. Our cat decided she doesn't want to use her litter box so she goes outside to go to the bathroom (which is great!, lol) and she spends a lot of time out there as well in general. The only time she's annoying is when she meows until you get out of bed to let her outside.

The girls and I would love a dog, but Ryan knows full well he'd be the one taking care of it because he's the one that mainly feeds/waters the cat. So I have to thank him for not giving in to our begging. Plus I like my "yard" (land) free of poop!
