Speaking of movies - The Break Up

mckayleesmom wrote: anybody see it yet? Was it any good?

moped replied: It was ok..........

cameragirl21 replied: i saw it and didn't like it. but i know others did like it.

Cece00 replied: I saw it. It was pretty good...not great, but it didnt suck.

Gage'sMom replied: I have always wanted to see this movie but it was one of those "I will wait til it comes out on dvd to rent it" kind of movies. I still haven't seen it and it has been released for how long?? lol.

C&K*s Mommie replied: I liked it. It was a romantic comedy that was more comedy than romance, than anything and I liked it even more for that. It did not end in a conventional way and I liked it even more for that. wink.gif

CantWait replied: I was very disappointed in it dry.gif

Jamison'smama replied: I didn't like it.

Crystalina replied: I have that on my Blockbuster Q but it hasn't come in yet. I'm a bit braver with movies this way since I have to pay a monthly fee and they come in the mail.

coasterqueen replied:
I agree. I even made Dh watch it, which he didn't want to, and he thought it was funny. Id' say even he'd recommend the movie. thumb.gif

Maddy'sMommy replied: I haven't seen it yet, but have wanted to since it came out... I am actually getting it in my next round of netflixs!

grapfruit replied: I borrowed it from a friend and I'm very glad I didn't waste a Netflix rental on it. (Not that you can "waste" them, but you kwim). I thought it was dumb. I didn't think it was THAT funny. More thumbs down then up.

cameragirl21 replied: i already answered that i didn't like it but i wanted to add that i think Jen and Vince were great but i found the movie depressing. i think in many ways it was too realistic, describing what's really wrong with relationships between men and women and especially showing just how easily women screw things up and then find themselves clawing to get back into the game. once you walk away from something it may very well be over so you really have to think twice before you close that door and not assume that you can walk right back in whenever you want.
i also hated how it showed that you can waste years of your life in a relationship and then have it be over, it's so realistic it just upset me.
when it comes to matters of the heart, i've always preferred feel good movies or at least something that inspires me.
that movie just makes you want to give up on men and love and that's just no good IMO.
