Speaking of childrens clothes - Where?

moped wrote: A spin off from Crystal.........

I do buy a lot at Childrens Place and find myself paying full price for a lot of things only because I think that if I wait til it goes on sale they won't have the sizes etc. I like to buy Jack shirts and jeans there - the kid loves his clothes.
I did pick up some really cute stuff for next winter under $5 per item/outfit.

I buy stuff at Costco for the kids - PJ's, shorts for Jack

I shop at Old Navy but honestly find the quality lacking a bit. I tend to pick up things off the clearance rack and then i don't feel so bad when they fall apart. jack likes the flip flops from there

I love GAP for the kids

I also like Winners (TJMAXX)

I don't shop much at WalMart - they tick me off - wash it once and it is half the size.......not worth it

I love to shop and am one of those that spends too much on clothes..............

coasterqueen replied: I get most clothes at Target, Gymboree, and Children's Place, and Macy's. I sometimes will get an outfit at Walmart, if I actually go there (and that's rare) - I do buy all the girls shorts to go under dresses from Walmart because they usually have cheap ones and that's all they need to wear under dresses.

My MIL likes to get the girls clothes from Penny's. I never find anything I like there, but she always comes up with a few (not a lot) cute outfits for them.

My parents like to buy the girls clothes from Sears and Target.

I get most of their Gymboree clothes at the outlet malls.

My2Beauties replied: Usually Target or Penney's mainly, every once in a while I'll hit Meijer, AJ Wright, Citi Trends, Wal-Mart (heaven forbid, they have to have their LEI on sale or something for me to go there, I hate their clothes).

MommyToAshley replied: I like Kohls and Target alot. I will shop and look around GAP, Gymboree, Children's Place, Justice, and Macy's, but I usually wait for things to go on sale. I can usually catch some really good deals and try to buy off season for the next year.

stella6979 replied:
Kohls and Target are my favorites as well. I also shop on line at Old Navy a lot.

coasterqueen replied:
I forgot about Kohls. thumb.gif I shop there mainly for Megan, as I don't find a lot of clothes that are age appropriate there in Kylie's size, but every once in awhile I'll find something there for her that is cute.

mom21kid2dogs replied: Hanna Andersson fits Olivia the best. I get them almost exclusively off EBay and sell her last year's wardrobe to finance it. I also shop JC Penny (sales only) because they have a generous amount of plus size clothes. I got 25 pieces of summer clothes there last summer at $2 a piece in August all for this year. I rarely buy in season unless it's EBay. I do shop some at Kohl's for dressy dresses and some at Sears (mostly PJ's). O's pretty hard to fit so my options are limited.

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Kohls and Target mostly here, too. Or Herbergers, if I can find it for cheap. wink.gif I LOVE Gymboree, Childrens Place and Gap Kids, but they're way too expensive, and we don't live close enough for me to go often to look for sales. sad.gif

Eta I shop at Once Upon a Child and thrift stores too, and garage sales. happy.gif

moped replied: See we don't have a lot of those stores in Canada......we don't have JCPenny, Macys, Kohls, Target etc..........if we did i would go NUTS!

A&A'smommy replied: childrens place, sears, jcpenney (only if they have deals though otherwise its WAY expensive and they don't wear them long enough to pay 30 dollars for one outfit) sometimes gymboree I tend to stay out of there unless there is a sell because I have been known to spend $120 on one outfit emlaugh.gif blush.gif OHHH and carters but I only get to shop there a couple times a year because we don't have one close to us but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the carters outlet in Missouri

~Roo'sMama~ replied:
I LOVE carters too- the closets Carters store to us is at the Mall of America, but I get carters stuff at Kohls and Herbergers. I love Osh Kosh too. Carters and OshKosh are brands that I have to buy on sale though!

coasterqueen replied:
I love love Carters!!! Although, finding Kylie's size there is hard these days. Which outlet mall do you shop at in Missouri? We usually go to St. Louis Mills with our friends (from that area) twice a year, at least.

Danalana replied: So far, most of his clothes have come from Baby Gap, Children's Place, Old Navy and Target. I've bought a few things from J.C. Penney's, Sears and Belk, too. I can't say that I have been disappointed with the quality of any particular place smile.gif I wish I lived closer to the beach, where we usually go on vacation. They have a Carter's outlet mall, as well as a Baby Gap outlet mall. I need to do some shopping!

skinkybaby replied: As a rule I go to Target, Carters & Old Navy for play clothes. Gymboree and Gap for the "nicer" stuff.

Our Lil' Family replied: Usually Target for play clothes and Gap or Children's Place for nicer clothes, sometimes Old Navy will have the chinos that I like for him cheaper than Gap or TCP.

I hit up Target the other day for shorts and Tshirts for $4 each! I was excited about that! I can't get them from a resale store for that cheap! He's set for summer play clothes now.

Celestrina replied: Mostly Kohl's, Target, and Walmart. I haven't had a problem with stuff shrinking, and you can't beat their clearance rack. I got a nice royal blue 100% cotton long-sleeved polo shirt for DS for $2 (I thought it was $3 and had a pleasant surprise at the checkout).

Mommy2Isabella replied: I usually get all of Isaia's clothes from Baby Gap, and Target. Most of Isabella's clothes are smocked dresses and Children's Place for pants, and Baby Gap for shirts!!

I shop the sales!!!

ZandersMama replied: walmart, zellers, salvation army, value village

they grow so quick........i just cant keep them in clothes unless its cheap

My3LilMonkeys replied: We know people with kids slightly larger than all of ours so we get lots of hand me downs and lots of relatives buy clothes for them for birthdays/Christmas so I honestly don't buy many clothes for any of them at all. When I do it's usually thrift stores, Walmart, or Target.

ETA: I have recently been shopping a lot at TJ Maxx, Ross and Marshalls and they have a lot of good deals.

Kaitlin'smom replied: most of her clothes come from Kohls, target, kmart, jcpenny, old navy, a few walmart (mostly t-shirts that are bought for $1 or less by MIL) and some name brand things MIL finds at thrift stores.

see my friend has a 13 yr old who is dresses in mainly name brand things but she does not shop at those stores she finds them all at thrift stores or ebay for cheep, they are all in great shape and some brand new, so her daughter get what she wants and her mom can actually afford it.

luvmykids replied: I buy everywhere. I am always on the lookout for a sale and they almost always have stuff on sale at Penney's and Kohl's. I really like JCP because they have great sales, like buy one get one for .01, buy one get one half off, etc. Beall's, Belk, Ross, wherever I happen to be I browse the kids stuff and am always on the look out for a deal.

I'll buy Old Navy for cheap, trendy stuff. Kylie's favorite store is Limited Too but again, I almost always catch a sale. I don't spend a ton because my kids are hard on clothes but I can usually keep them looking cute for pretty cheap.

HuskerMom replied: I usually go to walmart or shopko. Shopko usually has some good clearance stuff. And both of those stores are usually good quality. I can't wait til the weather is nice so I can go to garage sales. I'll occasionally go to Penneys or Herbergers but I can't really see spending $20-$30 on an outfit they'll only wear for a few months. I usually only go there when they're having their sidewalk sales.

A&A'smommy replied:
we go to the one in Sikeston, I have trouble finding Alyssa's size too we did find a really cute dress but I NEED one of those sweaters that they have everywhere because its a little too strappy for my taste but it was also the only thing we could find to match Autumn and their baby cousins dress for pictures. Is the one in St louis big? I think we are planning to go to St. Louis hopefully in the fall and I want to put it on my list of things to do while we are there if so.

A&A'smommy replied:
I know me too!!!

Brias3 replied: I'm in with the lots- Old Navy, Target, Children's Place (my cousin is a district manager for them, so we always get great deals!), Gymboree (sale stuff). I love Gap for pants especially and Hanna Andersen has great quality stuff.

I've also found some really cute things for Aliyah at H&M- at least the ones that have a children's section. I'm also a sucker for Petit Bateau stuff, which I used to find all the time at decent prices for them when we were living in Brussels.

coasterqueen replied:
It's not bad, but I haven't been too a lot of outlet malls. The only other outlet mall I've gone to are the ones in Branson. We usually hit up the Gymboree outlet, which I found a LOT of cute stuff there cheap, Children's place outlet - which prices aren't much different than the regular CP. Then we hit up Carters, which you know I love happy.gif , and I'll look at the Kid Gap stores but even their outlet prices are outrageous to me.

Here is a link to it so you can see what all stores they have: http://www.simon.com/mall/default.aspx?ID=1244

They have a cute play area there too where the kids go while we shop (the dad's stay with them happy.gif ).

Boo&BugsMom replied: Target for sure, epecially when they have their new lines out and their shirt and short/pants sets for really cheap. Walmart...I have not had any problems like others mention. I normally get things a size bigger than normal so when I do wash them they don't shrink much. I do that with a lot of clothes actually because no matter where they come from there is going to be some shrinkage. Kohls of course as well! Old Navy when they have sales and their clearence items. I LOVE Old Navy socks!!! They last a long time.

I will go to the Children's Place and Gymboree only to search their clearence. We also have an outlet malls with both those stores in it that have decent sales sometimes.

MoonMama replied: LOVE Children's Place (love that they have the adjustable waist jeans, Levi's does too, which is a MUST for us or they're too loose), Old Navy, Gap, JCPenneys, Dillards, Babies-R-Us, I love going to the Carter's store here for his PJs (they're so cute), Nike, etc.

Can you tell I just love to shop? rolling_smile.gif

DillsMommy replied: I just love buying the kids clothes. I'm not real picky about where from. If I find something I like or that I think they will like--I buy it. happy.gif
I shop a lot at Target, Khols, Old Navy, Macy's, JcPennys. We don't have a Carter's store around here that I know of. But I LOVE that brand. I usually find cute Carter's stuff at Macy's. happy.gif
It's rare that I pay full price for something. I love buying stuff at the end of the season when it's cheap cheap and hang on to it for the next year.

Danalana replied:
This is completely unrelated, but I wanted to mention that I lived in Missouri for 3 years...Carthage, to be exact (close to Joplin) smile.gif

jcc64 replied: We get a lot at Macy's, Children's Place, and Target. I will let her get a few special things at Justice, but that store is ridiculously overpriced, and I guarantee they'll be out of business by the year's end.

A&A'smommy replied:
I think I knew that, I had to look it up because I KNEW I hadn't seen any signs for it but that is about 5hours from where we usually stay but a straight shot emlaugh.gif
