Spam on here - ?????
lisar wrote: I was wondering I know we get spam on here. All web-sites get it. Its nothing anyone can help. But does anyone on here actually ever click on the links. I dont. I was just curious... I never know where they actually go. just curious.
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Never, I'm always afraid they'll lead to a porn site or something like that. I wouldn't want Aaron to find cookies from porn. LOL
Crystalina replied: Never.
holley79 replied: I click on the topic but never the link. I love using the guy.
C&K*s Mommie replied: I have never clicked either on the link.
lisar replied: I know. Thats why I replied to one that is on here now. I just wanted to use the spam guy...
quinnandjacob'smom replied: Well, I'm still naive, I guess, b/c the other morning I opened one and all these pictures of naked women doing naughty things came up! And Quinn, my 8 year old, was sitting right next to me. I got rid of it before he looked over. I learned my lesson, that's for sure!
gr33n3y3z replied: just got it lol so is gone now LOL
Calimama replied: Nope I dont open them.
redchief replied: I click on most of them, any that I handle as a mod anyway. I feel it's part of what we do here. This way if any of our members DID accidentally click on a link that DID lead to a virus, I'd be able to warn the members about this.
ETA - My computer is VERY well protected and backed up to the hilt (especially after my little bout of stupidity last month).
CantWait replied: Nope. Since we're not suppose to advertise on here anyway, I automatically hit the "report" button.
McKenna replied: Just a little warning with something I recently found out.
The new series of spam bots that have been hitting a lot of sites are intelligent spam bots.
These spam bots know when someone has put a reply in the thread they create, they thereby find out that the forum it has posted in is an active forum and tbhis leads to a propgation of more spam, this has recently happened to a gaming forum i visit which is now having 5-->10 bots per day, this site has now taken the precaution, after a warning, of banning any member of that site which posts in a spam bots thread.
So people DO NOT reply to a spam bot thread it will only make the situation worse, leave it alone and let the moderators delete them safely.
