Sorry I've been mia again - Maddie broke her arm yesterday

I've started "nesting" so I've been cleaning the house like a maniac-nice for the house, exhausting for the mommy, and I've barely been on the computer at all. Our internet went out yesterday (I'm at Sara's right now) and that has been incredibly frustrating. And then, worst of all-Maddie broke her arm yesterday. She was at the playground with my dad and she fell off the monkey bars. She broke both of the bones in her forearm, they had to put her out so they could set the bones in her arm. She was such a trooper-lots of tears, but she was a very brave girl. She will be in a cast for about 6 weeks-right now it is all the way up to the top of her arm, but hopefully she will get a shorter one (up to her elbow) in about 3 weeks. She is very cheerful today and doesn't seem to be in much pain so that's good. It was her writing arm though so that's a bummer. I'm sure I'm forgetting something but I've a bit muddled again. Hopefully Jas will get the internet fixed in the next day or so and I will be able to post again.

jem0622 replied: You've been a busy lady! So sorry to hear that she broke her arm! And the one she writes with also! Ugh! And the summer weather is coming too! I found a cover for my cast at a medical supply place. It let me take a shower or bath and swim if I wanted.

redchief replied: Hang in there... I had a Colles fracture (the type of arm break you described) when I was 8 and again when I was in my 30's. I seem to remember healing a lot easier and faster when I was a kid. She'll be okay. Saying prayers for her quick recovery anyhow

5littleladies replied: Thank you everyone! I'm in tears reading all of your replies. Maddie has had a rough evening-She has started realizing all of the things she won't be able to do for the next month or so. My heart is breaking for her. Thankfully she doesn't seem to be in much pain though, and we are thankful for that.

Jas fixed the internet tonight-Yay for him! Hopefully as soon as we get adjusted to our new routine I'll be able to post more often. I miss you all!
