PrairieMom wrote: What are you guys going to do with your $ from Old George Bush? I don't think mine is going to help the economy much, I am going to save it. laugh.gif Or maybe pay off my Van. laugh.gif

lovemy2 replied: Nice job Tara - do exactly what he is asking us not to do - pay off bills - SPEND TARA SPEND laugh.gif

coasterqueen replied: Yeah, you are supposed to SPEND it, Tara. laugh.gif

I have no clue. We have a numerous credit card bills it could go towards. I figure when we actually see the check in our hands we'll figure out what to do with it then.

lisar replied: I will probably be buying dirt with it.

DillsMommy replied: As much as I would LOVE to just spend it, I will be paying bills. dry.gif

PrairieMom replied:
yyyyeaaaahhh... He's not really someone I would take advice from . rolling_smile.gif

TheOaf66 replied: we will be using it to pay bills

when are we supposed to get that anyways?

PrairieMom replied:
june - july ish

MommyToAshley replied: It will be going right back to Uncle Sam to pay our quarterly taxes. sad.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: probably a combo, pay something off and use some for vacation(s)

boyohboyohboy replied: ours will pay off our medical bills from two surgeries and a birth this year!

kit_kats_mom replied: I should use it to pay off some bills but since my DH just got gum on my couch, I may be getting a new one of those instead. growl.gif

A&A'smommy replied: Bills here too and probably baby stuff I would imagine

grandma replied: Isn't it true that if you make above a certain $ cap, that you don't get it?

Hillbilly Housewife replied:
Now WHY would he suggest not paying bills?! Oh..I guess HE doesn't have any. rolleyes.gif

luvmykids replied:
$174K for a couple, $87K for singles.

grandma replied:
YAY! We'll just make it!

msoulz replied: It will go toward one of many projects needed at the homestead - the next on the list is finishing the basement (or partially anyway) so the kids have somewhere better to play. Then there is the siding, the deck that is warping and was never to code, the shed that is falling down, the pink and black bathroom that has literally been that way since the 1950's, oh I could go on!! wacko.gif But it will go to someone or somewhere else, that is for sure! I'm going to do exactly what our president wants me to - barring anything unforeseen, of course . . . we do live in Michigan after all. dry.gif

jcc64 replied: Someone please enlighten me. What are the income cut-offs for this rebate?

luvbug00 replied: catching up on mya's dr. bills. that is the single most important.

luvmykids replied:

julesmom replied: How much are we supposed to get?

coasterqueen replied:
Yes, and the cap is low BUT the cap goes higher for those with children. So hopefully we will be in the cap, we should be. happy.gif

PrairieMom replied:
He just seems to have differing views on how a budget works. laugh.gif

PrairieMom replied:
600 for each adult, or 1200 for a couple filing jointly, and 300 per kid.

bawoodsmall replied: Ours will prob be credit cards as well. Dh's when he was an idiot. I may save some for something else though.

Calimama replied: I don't really know. It'll probably go towards vacation or sit in savings.

mommy~to~a~bunch replied: I don't know what we'd use it for, but I won't believe it until I have the money in my hands. I don't trust a single thing he says either. He just LOOKS like a liar rolleyes.gif .

My2Beauties replied: Hopefully we'll get it before we go to Vegas on June 21st, if so, it'll be spent there laugh.gif If not, then we'll probably use it to pay on bills rolleyes.gif

skinkybaby replied: I'm not too thrilled with the terms the leaders of the House and Senate agreed upon, but if we do get it it will go straight into savings and investments.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Hopefully it will go towards our bathroom remodel.

holley79 replied: We are going to put it in our emergency fund. emlaugh.gif I know that's not what it's meant for but....

luvmykids replied:
At least that way it will get spent eventually laugh.gif

Sarah&Mackenzie replied: Most likely will be spent on the updating of the bathroom and the remodel of our bedroom.

holley79 replied:
Isn't that the truth. I know if I don't put it away where DH can't get his grubby hands on it then he is going to blow it.

Sam & Abby's Mom replied:
LMAO !!!!!!!!!

Man - I'm so out of the loop. This is the first I've heard about a rebate. unsure.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied:
I heard this morning

up to 600 per adult max 1200 for married

up to 300 per kid max 600

I hope I am wrong and the up to is wrong.

and honestly until I have it I wont make any real plans

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Ours will probably go into savings - there are plenty of things we could use it for but with Dh quitting his full-time job this fall to go back to school we are going to need a safety net.

AlexsPajamaMama replied: Probably cc bills rolleyes.gif

Cece00 replied: Either bills or vacation.

mckayleesmom replied: Heck...I don't know......I will wait to see it first.

My3LilMonkeys replied: I'm not counting on it until I get it....but if it comes, we'll stash it to help with bills when I'm on maternity.

MotherForever2043 replied:
Amen!!!

Our Lil' Family replied: Hopefully we'll be in our new house by then so probably curtains or a new tv.

PrairieMom replied:
Good for you! single handedly saving the economy. rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

HuskerMom replied: It'll probably go towards Dh's race car.
