mom21kid2dogs replied: We did several sections for my parents slideshow. The part that featured pics of them & their friends we used James Taylor You've Got A Friend. One part featured family that has passed on~we used The Carpenters~Sometimes. Bunch of funny slides of them~Greenday's Good Riddance. Pictures of my dad~Nat King Cole & Natalie Cole~Unforgettable. Pictures of all of us ~Paul Anka~Times of Your Life.
Here's a really good piece of advice that was passed on to me by a wise old man (My husband~LOL!! ) Try to keep it to 15 minutes or under or you'll lose your audience. This turned out to be rather prophetic. My parents party was combined with my Aunt & Uncle as they were married within 2 weeks of each other. Their granddaughter did 3 slideshows, EACH an hour long. It was an insane amount of work and no one watched more than the first 20 minutes or so. I ran mine first and everyone watched all of it.
I bought the songs I didn't have on amazon.com's site. You can listen to all of them there. Have fun!!!
moped replied: Thank you! I had that song in my head a year ago and forgot!!!!!!
One of my moms favorites!!!!!! She will love it!

mckayleesmom replied: What about
Stand by me- Ben E King
Through the Years- Kenny Rogers
Your Still The One- Shania Twain
Look At Us- Vince Gill ( I think this one would be perfect) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2wPVVjFv4w
luvmykids replied: Good suggestions, I also love "You Are So Beautiful". Oh, and "Have A Little Faith In Me" by Joe Cocker.
stella6979 replied: I LOVE "Have a Little Faith"! I really love anything by Joe Cocker.
momofone replied: Through the Years - Kenny Rogers would be great
moped replied: Great suggestions...I will listen to Kenny Rogers. I want to stick with ones they will know, so country and classic...she loves Vince Gill, but I think the Alan Jackson one is better than Look at Us......
MommyToAshley replied: Everyone has already stolen my suggestions, so I just wanted to say congratulations to your parents!!! Happy Anniversary to them!
