Some good news regarding DH's job

Well, DH just got the news today that he will be basically taking over as IT director because they want his boss to focus more of his energies on enginering. It sounds like he will get a bigger bonus at the end of the year & probably a nice raise as well. Chances are, if he does a good job (which I know he will...my darling little perfectionist ), he will probably end up with an offer to become a partner and the IT director title next year.
The trade off is that he will have to do more management and it will probably take some more of his free time away but if he's able to get good employees, in time he should have more flexibility.
I told him that I think that may be the reason for his bosses scarcity recently. The higher ups had been discussing it and they were kind of testing DH to make sure he could handle it on his own.

I hope that kinda happens with my Dh. (CROSSING MY FINGERS). They are talking about eliminating his department all together and putting him into more of a management position in another department. BUT this company is having economical difficulties right now so who knows if it comes with a raise or not.
