So, what are your kids getting for Christmas
MommyToAshley wrote: I know we talked about it before, but now that it's close to Christmas I am sure most of you are done with shopping. So, What are your kids getting?
PrairieMom replied: Ben got a DS. and 5 FIVE games. Talk to DH about THAT one. Lucky kid. he also got a package of Bendaroos from us. A microscope from My parents, and DH's parents have lost their fool minds. I have NO idea what he got from them, but they were only supposed to get stocking stuffers, but ended up loading up the tree with at least 4 gifts for each grandkid in addition to what ever santa is bringing, which has over flown the stockings and taken up a reusable grocery bag in addition for each kid. I am SO not pleased. As if I didn't talk to my MIL MULTIPLE times about how we don't need anything, don't go nuts, please dont get my kids a bunch of stuff, you know we have to drive 12 hours in a car with it on the way home, blah blah blah. She is out of control.
OK. done with my rant.
Al is getting wooden beads to sting, polly pocked disney princes things, hello kitty makeup and some plastic realistic horses from us. and a jewlrey box with a dancing ballerina from my parents, and what ever my crazy MIL got them.
bluebear replied: My nephew is getting a Wii. that's all I know right now. After Christmas I'll get him a game for it depending on what games he got for Christmas when I see him in January for his brother's birthday.
CantWait replied: I'm really curious as well, especially for 6 year old boys as I don't think we've (I've) gotten enough for Anthony.
Robbie:
small laptop cell phone videogame for his DS
Anthony:
Couple webkinz couple board games bag of art supplies LightBrite with extra pegs and refill sheets
Little toys for his stocking
My3LilMonkeys replied: I'll just say waaaaaay too much and leave it at that. DH has a tendency to go overboard and at last count the girls were each getting 15 gifts and Peanut was around 12 - that's just from us and Santa. They will also get from 2 sets of grandparents and 4 sets of aunts/uncles.
Almost all of the gifts are under $10 so it's not an outrageous amount of money, but still....I always campaign for a more modest Christmas and lose.
mom21kid2dogs replied: Way, way, way too much!
stella6979 replied: Avery is getting a train table and the Disney Princess Vanity from Santa, and from us, she is getting Uno Moo, Sequence for Kids, books, Barbie dog park, and a V-tech digital camera.
moped replied: Oh way too much - way way way
jakesmommy08 replied: Jacob is getting a train table, a huge crane, a big dump truck, new sunglasses, a nerf gun (my boyfriend also got a nerf gun, his idea!) and a few other small things, hes not getting much cuz the train table, crane and dump truck alone cost about $190.
Cadens getting binkies. lol and thats it from us. Both grandmas and aunts all got him stuff.
Cece00 replied: I have 4 kids who each got about 20 presents, sooooo...I dont remember everything. Plus I wrapped most of the stuff weeks ago.

MommyToAshley replied: We did a little more shopping...
Ashley is getting from us: Ipod touch (yes, DH convinced me, but it will come with rules) Rainbow shoes from Justice that she wanted
From Santa: Polly Pocket Roller Coaster & a few other polly pocket stuff Toy Story Mania for Wii DS games (I forget what they were now) Disney Pop Star Hits for PS3 Some lego stuff Bendaroos Digital camera/camcorder (it's a small 5 megapixel one that I got a great deal on)
Stocking: Itunes gift card Digital Bookmark (keeps track of minutes read) Light up journal Small jewelry, lip glosses American Girl Mom and Me book Webkinz Very little candy
If I have time, I might pick up some small inexpensive craft items. Wrapped up, it doesn't look like much because everything is so small... but it adds up to a lot and we spent way too much. I say that every year.
luvmykids replied: Glad you found the shoes! Where did you find the digital bookmarks? That would be great for the kids when they're doing their nightly reading!
jcc64 replied: I'm curious about the digital bookmark too, Dee Dee. Do you have a link? And what's that Disney Pop Star for PS3? Well, just finished yesterday: Alec (17) baseball bat (they are ridiculously expensive, can someone please clue me in as to why) iphone
Noah (14) Assasin's Creed for PS3 (against my better judgment) snowboarding gear ihome
Corey (7) lots of Barbie stuff (she's obsessed) some fashion designer game for the DS lots of outfits and accessories from Justice a Baby Alive doll some craft kits
MommyToAshley replied: Here's a link to the digital bookmarks: http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=...creative=390957 I've seen them at Target and Borders too, but I think they were a few dollars more in the stores.
Sorry, I typed the title wrong of the PS3 game, it is "Disney Sint It: Pop Hits". I had to buy it for the PS3 because they didn't make it for the Xbox 360, which is really weird. They do have it for the Wii and PS2 too. It is the same as Disney Sing It but with new songs. I mainly got it for "The Climb" and the Taylor Swift songs. Here's a full list of songs:
Colbie Caillat - Bubbly Colbie Caillat - Realize Coldplay - Violet Hill Demi Lovato - Don't Forget Demi Lovato - Get Back Demi Lovato - La La Land Duffy - Mercy Duffy - Warwick Avenue Hannah Montana - Let's Do This Hannah Montana - Let's Get Crazy Jem - It's Amazing Jesse McCartney - How Do You Sleep? Jesse McCartney - It's Over Jonas Brothers - Burnin' Up Jonas Brothers - Hold On Jonas Brothers - Love Bug Jonas Brothers - SOS Jonas Brothers - When You Look Me In The Eyes Miley Cyrus - 7 Things Miley Cyrus - Fly On The Wall Miley Cyrus - Hoedown Throwdown Miley Cyrus - The Climb Mitchell Musso - The In Crowd One Republic - Apologize Steve Rushton - Emergency Taylor Swift - Change Taylor Swift - I'm Only Me When I'm With You Vanessa Hudgens - Sneakernight Love and Theft - Dont Wake Me Up Hatching Pete - Let It Go
jcc64 replied: Do you have the other Disney Sing It, Dee Dee? I'm thinking this is something Corey would really enjoy. She loves to sing, and she eats, sleeps, breathes, the Jonas Bros, Hannah, Taylor, etc. Do you know what the difference between the wii version and the PS3 is? We have both.
MommyToAshley replied: We have the Xbox 360 version of the original Disney Sing It . We also have a Wii... while I don't have Disney Sing it on the Wii, I have seen it on the Wii. It is played the same as on the Xbox, but the graphics aren't nearly as good as the Xbox version. So, I am assuming the same is true for the Wii version vs the PS3 version.
Ashley LOVES Disney Sing it. I just wish there was a way to download new songs and not have to buy an entirely new version for more songs. But, she likes it so much that it is worth the investment. It's actually fun for everyone... Ashley and Rod sing "Ready, Set, Don’t Go" (from the first one) together all the time. Here's the song list from the first Disney Sing It: http://disneyinteractivestudios.custhelp.c...etail/a_id/3174. You might be able to compare the two lists and decide which you think she'd like better. You can play the new one without purchasing the original one.
jcc64 replied: Do I need to buy a microphone or some other special controller to play it?
MommyToAshley replied: You will need a microphone that will work with your PS3 (or Wii). We just bought the bundle that came with the microphone. Later, Rod bought these neat wireless microphones that light up to the beat of the music so that we could all have our own microphone and not have to keep swapping. It's nice to have hte wireless ones, but the microphone that comes with the game works just fine. Other than the microphone, you just use your normal controller to select the songs.
youngmomofone replied: My mom already gave her the zhu zhu pets and accessories. She loves it. My dad also already gave her her flat screen tv with a dvd player built in it (can we say spoiled? we dont even have a flat screen for the living room lol). She's also getting:
My first computer some crayola paint thingy the frog dolls and princess doll from the princess and frog movie cabbage patch doll that you do something with their hair more movies
I cant remember the rest, but she is getting a lot more than that. My parents basically bought out the whole store. Then Mil is going to get her one gift, and SIL is getting her another set of table/chairs which she already has. Mil was the one who told us about it and dh told her that she already has a set, but sil doesn't care so that's what she is planning on getting her. We don't care and Im shocked shes getting her anything this year so it's the thought that counts.
lesliesmom replied: Leslie (8) is getting soda/sundae pop dolls from Santa and a folding balance beam and Perfection from mom and dad.
Chris (6) is getting the iCoaster and MP3 player from Santa and an Indiana Jones Lego Set and Monkey Tumbles from us.
Lindsay (3) is getting the Little People Grand Dollhouse from Santa and the Tag Jr. and some sort of game from us.
Christmas will be pretty thin this year but I priced well and got the kids things I hope they'll enjoy. Plus they have a set of grandparents who will dote on them to no end and aunts/uncles and honorary aunts/uncles too boot.
Danalana replied: We were going to get Kade a jumper/bouncer thing for inside, but couldn't find the one we wanted in stores. We will order it online. We got him a Kawasaki 4-wheeler (ride-on, of course!)...there are buttons on it that make cranking noises, as well as a horn and other things. I think he will LOVE it. We also got him some clothes. He got money from my mother and father, and he will get money from Richard's parents. They'll also get him some toys, but I don't know what yet. For Carter, we just got him some rattles and squeaky things, in the way of toys (he's only 5 1/2 months!)...the main thing he needed was clothes. He can wear some of Kade's old jackets, but most of Kade's clothes are out of season for him. So we got him some warm clothes and some new sleepers. No idea what he will be getting from others. Oh! My brother-in-law and sister-in-law got Kade an awesome Alabama Crimson Tide wind suit and they got Carter an outfit and a jacket. Carter also got money from the grandparents.
