So...we tested the water tonight!

Boys r us wrote: Braedon was at my parents house for the night and Rick came home and looked at me while I was cooking dinner and said.."let's go out". I chuckled and was like yeahhhhhh right! He said, "I'm serious, Allie goes to bed around 7 and Tanner is 12..he's old enough to hang out and watch t.v. and take care of a sleeping baby!"

So...we asked Tanner if he thought he would be okay..mind you, he is REALLY the most responsible kid I've ever known..so grown up! He was like yeah sure! He stays home alone all of the time, so that wasn't anything knew for him...just the added responsibility of listening for Allie. So we paid him $30 and we went out around 7:30 and got home about 10:15! It was awesome!!!!!!! My parents literally live right across the road, so...we knew if something went wrong, we had someone nearbye to bail him out!

We went to this little bistro downtown and had a couple pineapple martini's! We just got home and Tanner was hanging out on the couch watching TV and the baby was asleep. He said she woke up once and he just went in and picked her up and rubbed her back for a few minutes and laid her back down, "like you do mom"!

Seriously, that's awesome that you are able to go out and Tanner can (and is willing!) to watch the baby.
