So much to do . . .

Why can't the house clean itself?
Sam & Abby's Mom replied: ooh, that would be so awesome ! Abby's bday party is this Saturday and I cant believe how much I have to do................but dont feel like doing. LOL
na81 replied: I am having the same problem this week! I have a lot to do with Teagan's party coming up Saturday, luckily his party isn't at our house! Oh well, I knew I had SO take Friday off for a reason! And yes, it would be nice if the house would clean itself!
boyohboyohboy replied: oh its motivation i lack! i wondered why the last weeks laundry is still in the baskets!
mommy~to~a~bunch replied: I tell myself, "What if unexpected company came over right now?" and then clean accordingly. If I feel it's clean enough for company, it's OK.
holley79 replied: Oh I wish it would so clean itself also.
msoulz replied: LOL, I put last week's laundry away yesterday after Steve commented that he felt like he was reliving his bachelor days!! Apparently he lived out of laundry baskets back then.
It is a lack of motivation, although I have gotten much done between the last post and now.
Plus with my house being in a constant state of undoneness it feels like no matter how clean it still looks cluttered. If only DH could stop working and just finish his projects and we could still afford to live in a house that would be great too!!
It's a day for wishes!
luvmykids replied: I'm with ya, I was gone all day and Colt has a friend coming over tomorrow ...I'm sure her mom will want to come in so in about an hour I'll be in frantic panic mode
boyohboyohboy replied: mary, my question is if steve saw the laundry and felt like it was college days, then why didnt he put it away?
thats ok, i found out caleb went to school with no underware today even though it was clean it was just still in the laundry basket folded in his room, he just was to lazy to look there!!!!
he wore no underware to school! so what kind of kid am i raising who cant look in the basket in his room...oh his poor wife!
boyohboyohboy replied: now i am thinking, you know how people have painting parties, where they come to help you paint your house? why cant women have laundry parties?
luvmykids replied: I do My mom comes over when it's really bad and we do laundry all day and drink coffee between putting loads away
But I have the same question for my DH when he wants to know why his socks are still in the basket....I ask "Can't you put them away as well as I can?"
My3LilMonkeys replied: That is a good idea, I'll have to try that! If someone knocked on my door right now we'd be talking on the porch.
msoulz replied:
I think he likes reliving his bachelor days!
Honestly, I don't think he cares one way or the other - it's easier to pull it out of a basket than to open a drawer!
