So is everyone who has it, happy?? - with the rain that is.

I am happy. We have had rain off and on for several days now. It has been a little heavier than the typical afternoon showers, but not a constant downpour. Just enough to cool things down a little, with some humidity still lingering. I love it though. It has not put a damper on plans since the rain still comes around the normal summer showers times of 2pm or so, but it is a great reprieve from the blistering sun and drought we have had for a while.

Boo&BugsMom replied: It is suppose to rain today, which is good. The lawn needs it. It's been pretty steady this year. Our grass actually is green, compared to last year at this time when it was all burnt to a crisp from the drought.

coasterqueen replied: I'm not happy! ONLY because it's not raining for me. I want rain. Course I don't want it if it's going to make it even more humid.

BAC'sMom replied: We had a few "Gulf" Showers this morning but that has all tapered off and now it is just HOT. It’s 92* feels like 102* with a few clouds.

MyLuvBugs replied: Rain? What rain? The poor farmers around here are dying for rain. We get piddling amounts of it every other week, but not enough to keep the crops from dying. If you've got too much though Nicole send it up our way!!

AlexsPajamaMama replied: It rained here yesterday afternoon and into the evening a little and today its absolutely BEAUTIFUL here!!! I've been in the best mood, Alex has been sooo well behaved and we had a very productive day!

luvmykids replied: This is what we call "monsoon season" around here, most nights this time of year we get a slight thunderstorm and rain, not a lot but enough to feel good and do some good. A few weeks ago though we had downpours 3 nights in a row with terrible wind, it looked like a mini hurrican hit with mud, rocks and debri all over roads and yards.

btw- I LOVE it, not only because we have horrendous fire seasons and watering restrictions on the lawns, but because nothing beats the breeze that comes right before or the smell right after!

~Roo'sMama~ replied: It rained ALL DAY here today and I was so happy! We needed it so bad, and it was a nice break from the heat we've been having lately. We had lots of thunder and lightning, and it got super dark for awhile too. I got some cleaning done too! I love rainy days.

coasterqueen replied: well I got my wish. We got a TERRIBLE storm right after I got home from work. Spent an hour in the basement because the tornado sirens were going off. Not fun! It's still muggy out there.
