So funny (yet sweet) to hear it from Dad

MommyToAshley wrote: DH and I were watching a new television show, I forget the name of it blush.gif . The main character is a new mom and a prosecutor as well. I believe the show is trying to show the struggle between balancing a career and being a Mom.

Anyways, in this episode, the baby is not sleeping through the night, so the main character (I forget her name too. blush.gif ) is tired in the mornings. At the end of the show, she wakes up and realizes that the baby has slept through the night and immediately says to her DH, "Do you realize what just happened, our baby slept through the night."

DH looked over at me and said, that show is not realistic. The first thing you would do is go and check to make sure the baby is ok, then you'd acknowledge that she slept through the night. I was thinking the exact same thing, but it was so sweet to hear it from DH. wub.gif wub.gif

mummy2girls replied: Close to home? Is that what the show is called? i LOVE that shjow!

MommyToAshley replied:
Yes...that's it! thumb.gif Thanks!

ETA: What night does it come on? DH had it on DVR.

amymom replied: Oh gosh yes! I checked to see if Mary Beth was breathing when I got more than 5 hours of sleep. rolling_smile.gif

With my son he slept through the night at four weeks, I was cheking on him every few hours for a few nights, then gave up. He always slept well!!!

Edit for spelling!!!

mummy2girls replied:

MommyToAshley replied:
Not only is it indeed what I would (and did) do, but it is also what he would (and did) do. laugh.gif

kimberley replied: wub.gif aww how sweet and very true.

AlexsPajamaMama replied: smile.gif AWww that is soo sweet! And true I must add, worry first then get excited!

Kaitlin'smom replied: maybe you should drop them a line and tell them? I keep thinking it on fridays after Ghost Wisper....I have only caught a bit of it but it did look interesting.

PS I did and would check on her first before making the comment just like both of you. wub.gif He is such a sweetie.

3xsthefun replied: That is so sweet & so true!

Jamison'smama replied: Oh, they are replaying it through the summer? I loved that show--I hope it was picked up for fall.

MommyToAshley replied:
I do like the show too. I hope they pick it up for the fall... I didn't realize it was reruns for the summer. I am wondering if she ever loses a case. I guess I don't want you to spoil it for me, but I think we've watched four or so episodes now and she's won every case.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: How funny that he caught that and said something about it. laugh.gif What a sweet daddy.

When our kids sleep in (or when Ethan sleeps thru the night) Scotty still looks at me and says "Did you check on them? Are they breathing?" laugh.gif He worries more than I do. wub.gif

mamasbigbaby replied: How sweet of a daddy! wub.gif

CantWait replied: What a sweet thought that he'd remember something so simple as that. wub.gif wub.gif
