So I'm posting this under Womens Health because - I think I may have a heart attack
kit_kats_mom wrote: I just spent almost $200.00 on clothes for Katherine.
I often buy her stuff but it's a tee shirt here, shorts there...never all at once. Also, this is the first time that I really had to get her clothes. She's been the benificiary of loads of clothes up to 3t from a friend of ours but those are being outgrown.
Anyway, she's starting "school" on Tuesday so I figured I'd get her a few new outfits and there was so much cute stuff. I kinda went out of control.
She will be one stylish 3 year old. LOL
kimberley replied: i think i'd have a heart attack too lol. can't wait to see pics
MyLuvBugs replied: ouch! Just hide the bill/receipt from your DH and tell him "grandma" bought her some new clothes. That's what I like to do. lol
kayla's mama replied: OMg I would def. hide that reciept from DH and say that Grandparents bought her all that. But like you said.....She's going to be one stylish 3 yr. old. Jason would flip out.
ilovemybaby replied: I have that problem too... running out of clothes! I was given basically EVERYTHING I needed for Abby from newborn up to 2 years. Now she is starting to run out of clothes.
I have to keep away from Pumpkin Patch because I could spend a fortune in there!
3_call_me_mama replied: WTG MOM!! Shop for the kiddos!! LOL She's been teh beneficiary of hand-me downs as you said. so a splurge isn't gonna hurt.. AND at eth rate she grows. You'll get your money's worth!! And even more hand me downs for Miss Lauren Dennis doesn't flip when i do this sort of thing he jsu tsays that he needs to go to teh Dr cause his wallet hurts! LOL
Jamison'smama replied: Good for you--that is so much fun! Where did you do all the damage? One store or all over?
kit_kats_mom replied: One store. I honestly only got 8 outfits and a couple of tee shirts but it's all super cute stuff. Two of the outfits were for Lauren too. Poor kid can't wear hand me downed hand me downs all the time.
K's favorite is the green pedal pushers with white buttons and flowers on them with the matching purse (it came with the outfit) and the button down white shirt with flowers that matches.
Second fave is the purple shirt with sparkles. I'll take pics on her first day and share them.
AlexsPajamaMama replied: Aww sounds cute! I bet that was fun!!
luvmykids replied: How fun! I know it feels funny to spend that much all at once but hey, she needed them and it all adds up the same anyway
jcc64 replied: Did the exact same thing yesterday, Cary. Steve and I had a grown up shopping day- we both played hooky and went shopping for his big business trip- but I took a little detour into the Osh Kosh outlet, and wound up dropping some serious cash on Corey. It's so much fun to shop for someone whose behind and gut don't need to be factored into whether you like something. If it's cute on the hanger, it's gonna be cute on them. How liberating to shop that way.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Good for you!!! I love shopping for the kids. However, Scotty and I have spent a lot of money on ourselves this month
I bet K is going to look adorable. I can't wait to see pics
MomToJade&Jordan replied: Hey if she's going to start "school" she needs to be decked out. I do work at the Gymboree Outlet store and the temptation to go nuts is there. I've been good so far. Can't wait to see the pics.
mummy2girls replied: oh I have done that with jenna. just recently i went and bought a bunch of cute stuff at walmart for summer!
CantWait replied: I can't imagine all the cute stuff you got for her. You'll have to post lots of pics of her in her new outfits. Congrats to her starting school. You must be very excited and apprehensive at the same time
C&K*s Mommie replied: Glad you found some cute clothes. They were adorable outfits, too. I saw the pics yesterday.
I love to get good deals for the kids, too. We were walking our mall the other day, and I had to quickly pass by Children's Place, and Gymboree before I talked myself into going in there to see their "sales". And Christin wanted to ride the escalator as we were making our way out of the mall through Dillards. BAD IDEA! Their children's section is up there, and I fell in love more and more with everything that I saw.
