We have two nearly five month old babies in our room (both born December 12th) and they weigh 12lbs 14 ounces and 14 lbs 2 ounces respectfully (both have been to the doctor with ear infections in the past week -- that's daycare!). And they both weighed close to 8 lbs. at birth.

As long as he's going the right direction you're doing well

Well then yes I'd say he's doing great! As long as he's gaining and not losing or staying the same I'd think he's doing fine - all babies grow at different rates.

my2monkeyboys replied: Yep, sounds just great to me. My Will is a little fellow, too. He's 5 1/2 and only weighs 34 lbs. When he was 8 months old the dr. had blood work ran on him to be certain nothing was wrong bc he kept slipping further off his growth scale. Everything came back perfect though. He's just a little guy, and probably always will be.
Sounds like Kade (and you) are doing just fine!
