Snowed in!

ZandersMama replied: We've got a little snow here in Cape Breton, but if it stays this warm out it will not be a white christmas . My mom has flowers and snow in her backyard.

Hope your cold goes away soon, it sucks to be sick for christmas!

cameragirl21 replied: oh, Rae, i'm a bit jealous. i'm sitting here in my shorts and tank top thinking i'd love to have a bit of snow! it must be beautiful to look at, i've always loved how clean everything looks when there's snow on the ground. when you're snowed in, you can still go out and play in the snow, can't you? i mean if you didn't have a cold and all.
there's something very romantic about being snowed in, as long as you have enough food and your electricity doesn't go out!

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: I'm having a nice lazy day watching movies with the kids...dh is at work however. They said if he couldn't ge tout the driveway they would send someone to pick him up.

Oh and Jennifer it's gorgeous when everything is nicely covered but when there is 6 feet in one area and you can see the ground in the other it's not nearly as pretty....and to me 24+ hours of continuous snow kinda sucks

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Thanks for the good thoughts everyone! Jen, it used to be romantic to get snowed in! Before kids, we had an awful blizzard and YES, DH and I had a GREAT time, if you kwim! But with two of us sick in the house, trying to get ready for my FIL and for the holidays, it's not so fun. I've been in the house for three days straight, so I'm getting a little antsy. Luckily all my shopping is done, but we don't have much food! And we're getting bit short on diapers! Uh oh!

Lisa, can't believe Michael is at work! Poor guy...

Yeah - it is really warm here - like Springtime weather. I heard on the radio today that in Calgary it is more likely that you would have a brown christmas than a white.............

I meant it kinda sarcastic, like gulfing is that important to do on christmas rather than being with your family. Sorry I persoanlly would not stand for it.

Of course, we have RAIN here... I don't want to look at it or be out in it either. I am hoping for a white Christmas, which it doesn't look like it is going to happen for us.

Sorry you are feeling under the weather , but I am glad your DH can take care of you now. Get some rest and feel better!

OH Rich would be right there with Tom if given the chance! He's getting a very high priced gift card to the golf store (from my MIL) for his bday tomorrow...so you know he will be tempted to run out and use it even in this weather!

luvmykids replied: We just finished a terrible storm with over two feet...they closed the airport, freeways, etc. They were even breaking in to TV shows asking employers to shut down early so people could get home. I forgot the exact number but something like 1100 people had to stay in hotels and the Red Cross set up emergency shelters because nobody could make it anywhere.

I'm glad DH is there and hope you guys feel better soon so you can enjoy being snowed in
