Snakes Snakes I hate snakes

I said SNAKE.. throw rocks at it to make it go the other way. It was coming right at us. My Dad took a big ole stick and was hitting it. It was striking at him the whole time. I was screaming like the girl I am. Randy was freaking out..and the boys where running far away..lol

I got on the four wheeler to go check the mail, and I was in 5th gear and come up in the drive way and I thought where did that stick come from,...then that stick moved. I run over that snake in 5th gear and I was screaming. I came home to get the gun incase it was still alive.. and I got back and it was gone.

I called Randy who was on the lake fishing with a friend and informed I was moving to town. A nice sneak free house in a suburb is feeling bout right!!!

I hate snakes!~

holley79 replied: We had a huge 5 foot black snake on our porch the other day. I don't mind those. The water mocassions that come up out of the creek are instantly killed. They are too terretorial and I have NO USE for them.

lisar replied: Whenever we are out on my friends property there is a rule to never go outside without a gun. He has rattlers out at his out. Pigmet rattlers. And there are some other wild animals out there also. Its scary. Just for the record I would have been with the boys running FAR FAR away.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I am TERRIFIED of snakes! I seriously couldn't go in the snake den at the zoo during field trips...made the teacher wait with me outside! Even looking at them in books gives me the willies!!! ICK! Luckily it's too cold here for them right now!

redplaydoh replied: I don't like them but I don't hate them either. I just let them alone. I was thinking the other day that I'd like to see one of those little green grass snakes and if I ever do I'd scoop it up to let the boys see it up close, but that's as brave as I'll ever get.

Btw, Hawaii is snake-free. I found that interesting when we visited there.

Yup it's a few miles down the dirt road to get the mail..lol
So I often take the four wheeler, you can go alot faster over the bumps with it then I can my car. But I have been chased by the bull on it.. so thats why I hit 5th gear and never slow down when Dh isn't with me..lol

luvmykids replied: I am right with ya on the snakes, no joke I puke and then hyperventilate before I can even try to think of what to do When I moved to this house everybody promised me that with the kids, dogs, horses the snakes would stay far, far away well yeah right, I saw three in two days, one in the GARAGE God bless Colt for not being scared and shooing it into a garbage can and putting the lid on for me

And I am terrified of rattlers....haven't seen one yet but the previous owners showed me the big rocks they like to sun on...wouldn't ya know smack in the middle of my path to feeding the horses

redchief replied: I don't mind snakes. I can do without the poisonous variety, just for general safety sake, but other snakes fascinate me. Anyway, sorry you have to keep your eyes out for the bull and now snakes too, while retrieving the mail, Mel... But if I drive anywhere for two miles in our town we've left the city limits, let alone my property... Despite nature's little surprises now and then, it must be awesome to have so much you can call your own!

HuskerMom replied: As long as I know the snake is there I don't mind them. I think they're cool. My dad is extremely afraid of snakes. When I lived at home and there was a snake in the yard I'd have to get rid of it, he wouldn't go near it

Nina J replied: I hate them too, especially with small kids around. We always have a sharp shovel somewhere that is easy to get to, so we can cut them in half.
