You have DSL and it takes that long I had DSL and now i have cable internet but, with either one it takes like 10 seconds tops for anything to open.

About that long. Haven't actually timed it exact. It takes a looong time though. It's just this site though. Every other website I visit loads fast. Don't know what the deal is.

CAMSMOM1 replied: I have a 1995 Laptop computer, so everything on it is slower than a turtle! And it's always popping up "Illegal Operation!" Every site is slow for me!

What takes me the longest is to open up all the smilies...they take 10 min. to pop up!

But at work, we have a new computer, and it's amazing the difference on speed! The one at work, works really well on this site...like 10 x faster!

Maybe it's just because we have slow computers, or to much memory on them or something.

It's frustrating!

My3LilMonkeys replied: If I remember correctly, the script execution time should be around .1 - Mine was .09 for the page of the thread and .12 to open the reply page.

fashionmumofboys replied: At work I have high speed of course, and this site seems to be pretty good, but at home I find it's alot slower. I have dial up so this can be the reason.

C&K*s Mommie replied: At times the opening is slow, at others it is not. I think it may be more of the congestion of traffic as a whole with our ISP ~which is from our cable company. Even things like opening my mail, takes longer than usual at peak times.
