mummy2girls wrote: are you really alike or the opposite? I got a respond from a joke i posted for jamie and what he told me got me thinking.... so how alike are you to your siblings or not alike???

i have a sister and you all know what she is like. I would fill a whole post of her but that would take hours for you all to read.LOL. let me just say she uses family and does something only if it benefits herself!

I also have a brother and he is alot like me,,very shy at first, he loves kids and wants a whole brood of them(well we are almost alike..LOL). he is very loving towards family and just like me cant handle our sister and her ways...LOL

so....tell all guys.LOL

A&A'smommy replied: i have a little brother he is 14 and we are exact oposites, hes huge im tiny (well use to be) he use to beat me up all the time!!! He is like my mom im like my dad i look like my dad he looks like my mom, he has my moms personalitly i have my dads!! LOL emlaugh.gif

~CrazieMama~ replied: I have a sister and we are nothing alike. 11 months apart and we think differently and dress different, look way different. We are complete opposites. rolling_smile.gif

maestra replied: both my brothers, one is 2.5 years younger and the other is 10 years younger, are totally opposite of me! They both can't stand kids, and many other things.

MomToJade&Jordan replied: I have two younger brothers. My brother Billy is two years younger and has a personal fitness degree. He's really driven and is very serious about gaining success. He is never truely happy and I think he won't be until he feels he is making the money to support the lifestyle he wants. He's a great guy though and would come to the aid of any of us when we need it. At this point he has no idea what he's going to do. Steven is 4 years younger then I am and just graduated from the University of South Florida with a Communications degree. He's really easy going and a very likeable guy. He's one of those people who can walk into a room full of people he doesn't know, but will know half of them before he leaves. I have the Music degree and am the artsy one. We are all very different people, but I think that's because my parents didn't try to make us what they wanted us to be. They let us choose. They disciplined when needed, but once we found our niche in the world they supported.

MomToMany replied: I have 5 sisters and 1 brother. We are alike in some ways, but for the most part we are very different. It would take forever to write it all out. Some of us don't get along at all, and some of us are like best friends. I think variety is a good thing, though. Who wants to live with an older/younger version of themselves?

aspenblue1 replied: I have 2 sisters and 2 brothers. My sister Bobbi and I are very similiar. My brother DJ is total opposite of everyone in the family.

booey2 replied: I have 1 sister and 1 brother, we are all adopted from different famillies and are totally opposite. I am the only one who followed the traditional way of school, boyfriend, fiance, marriage, house and then children. I am not sure if I have any natural brothers or sisters I haven't looked yet. My brother has none and my sister can't get any answers from her search.

ediep replied: I have 2 sisters and 1 bro. We are all similar in some ways.

I am very close with both of my sisters, we are best friends. One of my sisters is 5 years younger and were very much alike. We see each other all the time, My older sis and I are her maids of honor in her upcoming wedding, we are both teachers, we both are in LOVE with Jon Bonjovi, we are both obsessed with scrapbooking, I could go on and on....... My other sister is 7 years older and we are pretty much alike. We don't have quite as many common interests as my younger sis and I do. My bro isn't as close with us, but we do get together for holidays and birthdays.

Kaitlin'smom replied: I have 2 sisters and for the most part I would say we are not alike. Sure one I am very close to and the other is so self centered it make me want to scream. I am sure in some small ways (besides having the same mom and dad) we are a like but we are so different.

DansMom replied: I have one sister who is very much like me---physically especially. People ask us if we're twins. She was always the heavier one as a size 6 to 8 and I was a size 2 to 4 most of my adult life. Since I had the baby and she started doing Kung Fu five times a week (!), we have switched sizes. I gave her all of my pants and Xtra small shirts, and she gave me her pants and size medium shirts. The only problem is, most of her stuff was 80's style---high waisted and tapered leg, padded shoulders (uggh!!!), while everything I gave her was hip and modern (low-riders and boot cut or slight flare, fitted blouses). So she looks very stylish these days and I look like a frump lost in time.

Boy, that was a ramble. I have 3 half-sisters as well. The youngest (Maya's Mama, who never posts here anymore!) and I are alike in many ways---we're both fire signs and stubborn, we like and dislike a lot of the same things, have similar values and a similar sense of humor. The other two half-sisters are very different from me, but we are all a very loving and accepting family.

jen replied: I have a brother who is 9 years younger than me! I would have to say that we are a lot a like only I don't know if he will mature to be like me or not. He is still partying a lot in college!! following beautifully in my footsteps! LOL! laugh.gif

I have a twin sister who is nothing like me and I am learning to respect that as long as she doesn't do anything to hurt herself!

The 3 of us are very close most of the time!

kimberley replied: i have 1 sister (8yrs younger) who i am proud to say i am nothing like. she is an attention monger and lives in the world of "life has done me so wrong but praise me because i persevered". yes our parents divorces but she lived with my mom in a beautiful million $ home in the mountains of Vancouver and has attended the best schools. had a tv, vcr, stereo, phone, queen size princess bed, and special meals made all by the time she was 8yo. poor kid rolleyes.gif she decided to take off and live on the streets all the while saying how her family gave her nothing. ugh.. she annoys me. she also hits on everyone's husband and never fails to remind me how "fat" i am. you get the picture...

my half-brother (5 months older) is addicted and lost and blames everyone else for his problems. he calls once every few years and says he loves his family and wants to get together then never calls again. another sibling i am glad i am not like.

kimberley replied:
are you identical twins? does she look like you?

coasterqueen replied: I have one sister. She is almost six years younger than me so we constantly bump noggins. rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

3xsthefun replied: I have a younger brother that is 18. We are alike some ways we both love dogs, we both like pretty much the same music, and we both like cars. There may be some other stuff. And he does love my kids but I don't know if he'll ever have any.

He is tall while I am short, he looks alot like my dad and I look alot like my mom rolleyes.gif Not that I don't love her, its just alot people use to bug me saying how much I looked like her. And sometimes they still do.

Anyways he loves to play alot of video games and watch cartoons. And I'd rather be watching a comedy or something. Yes he does like to watch other movies. Hmm..he likes horror movies. I can't watch them because I'm to much of a scaredy cat.

But overall we get along pretty well.

victoire2002 replied: I have SIX (yes, you read correctly) older brothers and we are all so vastly different from each other. Interests, looks, everything. We have a family resemblance, though.

And yes, I was treated very nicely growing up, since I was the only girl and the youngest. No boyfriends in high school, though! (wonder why?!? ) tongue.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied:

LOL! It sounds like we had the same life! rolling_smile.gif I am also the youngest and the only girl. biggrin.gif

I have 3 older brothers who have adored me since I came home from the hospital and are also VERY protective. The oldest 2 are identical twins. I am NOTHING like my brothers although we do look a lot alike. wink.gif I am close to all 3 of them, but closer to 2 than the other. (does that make sense?) We would do anything for each other despite what we have been through. All of my brothers struggle with addictions, but seem to be doing well these days. I know they have caused us a lot of pain in the past, but they are only hurting themselves. sad.gif They LOVE Maddie...she is their princess. wub.gif The oldest (one of the twins) is an artist and he is a hippy....full blown. He is very sensitive and caring. He has such a huge heart and would do anything for anyone. His twin is the exact opposite. He is clean cut, very verbal, rude, selfish, insensitive...I could go on and on. The youngest is 20 mos older than me and was my best friend growing up. As the middle child he is funny, caring, adventurous and helpful. Always the class clown. He will celebrate one year sobriety on Feb 17. Sorry, blush.gif I am so proud of him. He has overcome a lot this past year and fought so many demons.
