Should I get him a pool?

MyBrownEyedBoy wrote: I have been debating about this for a few weeks now. I want to get Logan a pool for the back yard, he loves water, but I don't know. I mean, he'll never be in it when I am not around, but yikes. Even with me there, he could still slip and bonk his noggin. Maybe I'm being too protective.

moped replied: I got Jack one of those blow up ones.......I can show you a pic. I stay with him all the time and he loves it!!!!!!!!
Would it be placed on the grass?

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Yes, I would put it on the grass and empty it when we are through. I suppose I should live a little.

My3LilMonkeys replied: I say go for it!! I'll bet Logan would love it. My girls have one at MIL's house and they love it. Madison did slip and go underwater once, but since I was right there she was fine and she didn't even cry - just looked a little confused.

Bee_Kay replied: 1 yr 9 months??

AlexsPajamaMama replied: Oh he would LOVE it!!
Last summer Alex was 15 monthes and he had the most fun ever in the little blow up pool.

MommyToAshley replied: At that age, I got Ashley a blow up pool. She loved it... I bet Logan will have a blast! As I am sure you will do, I didn't leave her side in case she slipped under.

Here's a pic of the blow up pool we had:

C&K*s Mommie replied: I say go for it, too!

This is one that we had for the girls, but our dog created holes in parts of it, so parts would not stay inflated. I tossed it out with the garbage last weekend.
The palm tree (cannot see it very well) on the oppisite side of the slide had a sprinkler in it, and the slide the simply loved! It had an overflow hole in both the big part and little part, so it could not be overfilled. They loved this pool. biggrin.gif

ZandersMama replied: My dad got zander a little one last year, he wasnt even a year old yet and he loved it. Of course stay with him all the time . I went and got him a new one yesterday shaped like a car, thats our adventure after work today.

redchief replied: Yep, I'd do it.

holley79 replied: I am looking at getting on of those 4 foot pools for the back yard for Annika and I. We always had a little pool growing up and we survived. emlaugh.gif (How I will never know. I know this doesn't help me saying it.) hug.gif

BAC'sMom replied:
That is what my kids have and they love it.

I say you go for it.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I survived too, Holley. But I remember my little brother bashing his head a good one, also.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Okay, this coming week off, Logan and I will be pool shopping. Not today, it is finally raining here. Thank heavens, we had fires around the hills nearby, we needed the rain.

coasterqueen replied: Glad you are getting him one. smile.gif We got one for Kylie when she was little that was big enough for one of us to sit in there with her. She loved it. thumb.gif

booey2 replied: Glad to hear that you are going for it. Our boys have had one since Matthew's first summer 8 years ago, alway a little one for their ages. This year my mom bought one of the easy-up ones 16'x42" round and they absolutely love it. I even get in it and we have a blast. Enjoy yourself Kelly, it will be a ton of fun.

Kaitlin'smom replied: yep go for it, we had smaller ones for Kait still have one of those plastic pools, but she loves the big pool. She can tip toe our shalow end laugh.gif (its not suppose to have a shalow end) but her water wings keep her a float great. Maybe by end of summer she can tip toe all around and next year she will be able to reach with no problme.

Have fun with it.

mummy2girls replied: go for it! I am for jenna when we get a house because this year she loves the pool!
